Food
Here is my first attempt at food photography using my new camera. My husband cooked a meal and I took lots of pictures of it. Some pictures are too blurry to post here. As a beginner, I can't determine if my photo is blurry using my DSLR.
It just reminds me that I used to take lots of pictures back then when I joined a blogger's organization. We would take lots of pictures of the food and find the best angle.
I can't help but compare the picture above and the picture below. Sometimes photography is all about perspective. The food looks more appetizing in the photo above.
I used the "no flash" setting. As I am still learning this gear, I guess using a manual setting will make a lot of difference.
Walk in a park
The first photo of this post is the most dramatic picture I have ever taken. We went for a walk around the park and as you can see nobody was there, except for us.
The weather is around 5 degrees, but my hands are freezing cold. Sometimes trees amaze me. How can they look dead but still alive? I still always wonder why it is so silent here. It is rare to see a crowd in parks like this.
A drive around the city
It was snowy last week, but all of it melted after days. We drove around the city and it was around 8 in the morning. It was quite dark that day and was raining/snowing the day after that.
What I love about this city is the trees that surround it. The air is fresh and cold. One thing that I learned is some parts of this town has still snow on it, especially the upland. These are some photos before December comes which means longer snow.
I have a new camera and still learning how to use it. Most of my photos are dark because of the gloomy/snowy weather. I might try other settings that can suit better for landscape photo taking.
These are all raw pictures.

Denny's Restaurant
This is my second time to dine at Denny's. It is a typical American/Canadian restaurant. The set-up is like an American diner. What I noticed here is the table and chairs usually have a divider. Each customer per table has a private space. This is how most restaurants here were set up. Indeed, it is different back home where everything is open.
I ordered Wild Salmon (A grilled wild-caught salmon fillet with a delicious blend of garlic & herbs. Served with two sides and dinner bread.) I was able to choose my sides and the kind of rice I preferred. For this, I tried their brown rice and garden side salad. It was a delish salmon, a chef's kiss. It was something I could say was worth the try and by far my favorite in this restaurant.
There is just a bit of struggle I have with the camera, some shots are not sharp enough. I just would know about it after I transferred it to my laptop. Good thing I took multiple shots in case.
The picture above is the lovely family we are staying with. They are like our extended family and have us a warm welcome since we landed here. Thank you so much!

Snow in November
I can't believe it is happening. Just 3 days after my last post, it started snowing. Some locals told me that the snow came late this year. It was supposed to start in the last week of October just after Halloween. I really didn't know what to expect but it looks aesthetic in pictures. In reality, it is quite a hassle to go around with snow on the ground. I have to wear bulky clothes and wear boots. I am still not used to it.
The snow is powdery and soft. After the snow fell, the place looked straight like the picture books I used to have back then. It is quite *magical*. It reminds me that I am no longer in the Philippines. I remembered how far we had been through.
The days are getting shorter and the days are longer. Sometimes this place looks like a ghost town: A cold, dark, and silent city. To be honest, there is really nothing going on aside from downtown. However, I rarely go there. On the brighter side, it is really peaceful here and laid back. I feel like I have lots of time to spend. Probably because we rarely have traffic here. On most days I can walk to where I work. I didn't have to deal with jeepneys where I struggled commuting back home.
The pictures below are our first snow pictures.

November Dump
It is the last week before snow. It is windy and chilly outside. I still can't believe I'm currently residing here for now. I love the new environment, humbling experiences, and people that I have met.
I am looking for a new hobby and I might rekindle my old interest- photography. I used to dream of having my own camera and I might buy it soon to capture my new journey.
Life is not easy though because I miss my home and my comfort zone. But I knew I was always called to do this. For now, I'll be capturing moments of my adventure.

Today, I quit my supposed to be job
This should be my first industry experience but I have heavy feelings towards it, It feels wrong. I just ended my agony.
The best advice I’ve ever received: ‘no one else knows what they are doing either.

#JobHunting
Akala ko dati, matatapos na ang mga problema ko pag nakapag graduate na ako. Di pala. Di ko alam na nakakalito ang Job hunting. May job opportunities naman eh. Kaso nakakalito pa rin.
Job opportunity 1
-Maganda sya as experience kasi international company. Mataas ang pasahod, Sobrang stress naman kasi supervisory position, malayo sa bahay (kailangan pa mag boarding house), may mga night shift (which is kahinaan ko), sagana rin to sa over-time.
Job opportunity 2
May “final” round pa pala. Pagod na talaga ako eh. Tigang na. Ipupush mo pa din. Ano ba naman? Sana maramdaman mo namang ayoko na. Tama na.
