Nursing school tip: If you’re not a planner type of person and need a way to organize all your due dates & clinical hours, print out a monthly template. I like to have a separate monthly page just for all my assignments and clinical hours because it’s easier for me to distinguish school from home. I also keep these monthly pages in front of my three-ring binder with a clear pocket in the front. As you can see here, I also color coded my classes. This term I have Public Health lecture/clinical & Leadership, each one has a dedicated color that I will use throughout the entire term. I plan before each term once I receive the syllabus & I try to add in all the due dates that I know will not change first. Usually during the first lecture, the professor will finalize due dates, so that’s when I add in the rest of my assignments. If there are due dates or appointments that are not finalized yet, use a small post-it note on that date and once you know for sure when its due, then write it in the calendar. The print out I use is from @emmastudiess. You can follow her on IG and she has webpage (emmastudies.com). She has calendar print outs that has a Monday or Sunday start, which is great. Using my everyday planner. This doesn’t even show how busy I am with my school work. I use my main planner for my family’s schedule and I use a separate monthly print out for all is my class assignments. You might be wondering why I would use two monthly’s. It’s because there are so many things going on that it is easier for me to distinguish what is for class and what my appointments are. *Disclaimer: These tips & how-to’s are what had worked for me in the past. There are many times that I had to change the way I plan and study because every term changed for me. So, hopefully my experience can help many of you. I will also be tagging the products that I have used. First and foremost, find the right planner that works for you. The planner that I have been using the most (3-4 years now) is The Happy Planner. I use this because I prefer the vertical weekly layouts (they also have the horizontal layout). I had also used the ring planers, such as an A5 size planner from Carpediem. Where do I get my planners? I usually go to Micheals and Hobby Lobby. These two stores carry both type of planners. Although, I believe that Hobby Lobby might carry the brand Carpediem (Don’t quote me on that, I’m not sure). But, I know for sure that these two stores have an A5 size planner and many other types/brands. USE COUPONS when purchasing your supplies! Who doesn’t love a good deal? I know I do! Download the Micheals app on your phone and sign up for their deals! Trust me, you will be glad you did. Micheals have 40-50% off coupons off a regular priced item most of the time. Hobby Lobby usually has 40% off coupons. Buy things on sale. Don’t forget to tag your friends and follow for more! 😊

I just celebrated my 33rd birthday yesterday. A new chapter in my life has opened up with a new job and a new term in school. I'm blessed to have my loving husband support me through all of my crazy schedules and the kids @lovesohsa. Sorry I have been MIA lately, I just had so much to do lately, that I'm rarely home.
