Amy Webb and Hacking Online Dating
Our team had the privilege of listening to the amazing Amy Webb last night in Minneapolis.
Webb is an entrepreneur, digital strategist and author of Data: A Love Story. The movie-style trailer for her book (yes, that's right, for her book) explains how she "gamed" online dating sites. Using data collection, she was able to create—and leverage—the perfect profile in an effort to find true love. And, it worked.
One of the biggest lessons Webb shared was the importance of creating a profile that resonates with the type of person you're hoping to meet—and avoiding the users who are misrepresenting themselves. (She shared a comical story—one of many—of a $1300 meal and a run-away date.)
