~THE AFTERMATH~

I created this blog in October of 2012 as an outlet for the pain, anger, guilt, fear, despair, sadness, and all other emotions that come with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder after a single event changed me, deep down in my soul. **TRIGGER WARNING** I have found it useful to post and reblog to this outlet when I'm feeling sad, scared, or am needing to let myself be consumed by the title wave of emotions. In September of 2012, I went out to a local gay bar in Minneapolis and have never been the same. I have no recollection of the 15 hours that passed before waking up in an abandoned house; hands tied to a bed frame; blood coming out of my head: cold: naked and in excruciating pain. I managed to escape-- body bruised; mind completely confused, soul forever scarred. There are days I wonder if escaping was a blessing or a curse. Here you will witness the aftermath of 2 greedy men, and the destruction that continues to this very day. I can honestly say that I wouldn't wish this form of pain on my worst enemies....

I never thought I’d get raped. Not by them, not by anyone. The only thoughts I do have are when I’m in the shower scrubbing off their fingertips. I feel so disgusting. They were inside me and every stroke hurt more than the last, taking turns until they finished. I replay it every night before I go to bed and I can’t help but know it was all my fault. But the most horrifying thing isn’t that two men made me theirs unwillingly. The most horrifying part is when no one believes you and you have to act like nothing happened. -J.

Everything seems to be exhausting me, no matter how much sleep or how much coffee I drink or how long I lie down, something inside me seems to have given up. My soul is tired.
