I thought they left a window open
We all know how it goes The more it hurts, the less it shows But I still feel like they all know And that’s why I could never go back home

The "trans men never ever have male privilege" thing is pretty goofy for various reasons but especially when you consider the old timey butch move of presenting as male specifically for the privileges. Like what's all that about then
Like first and foremost the thing is you need to compare marginalized men to women of the same demographic (i.e. trans women) and that'll make it click, right. But also just regularstyle there are benefits to Being A Man socially. Like. Isn't that kind of the idea lowkey. I wear pants so I don't get catcalled on my mental health walk. I mean I get that sometimes people just have genders but there's a not insignificant number of people for whom that's kind of the point innit
"Woman* pretends** to be a man as a trick to earn respect, etc" is like. A whole archetype in mythology & fiction
My cisgender doctor in real life signs her name as "(first initial) (surname)" so you can't immediately tell she's a woman on paperwork
being a trans woman really is just pointing at oppression you experience and then being ridiculed. bringing evidence and proof of the oppression you experience and then being ridiculed. you're over-reacting.
then you realize that non-transmisogynised people will not understand you and start seeking understanding with other trans women. Why are you splitting the community? do you hate trans men? wow. Don't you know we need to stand in solidarity?
Then you start saying that maybe people shouldn't throw trans women under the bus at every opportunity, maybe that would help with the solidarity but at this point there is already a harassment mob being sent on you. You complain but you're a sex pest now, doesn't matter what you did or did not say. people with 10x your reach are telling their followers all about the children you allegedly abused while gleefully cackling about your misery.
and everyone expects you to just be okay with this and if you're not it takes about 2 seconds before you're called a bitch by some man who is about to steal every joke you ever made and insists that your complaints are transandrophobic (a thing that definitely exists and is real /s)
then you get banned
