I'm seriously digging this blog. So you're going to make a guide? Because I would really love that, I have two closed Chakras and one weak one and I am completely lost on how to heal them except for mediation. so like anything would help :)

I'm still learning myself, but I'll share whatever I know with you. :) I do know that chakras cannot be fully open if the proceeding chakra is weak/blocked/closed. That's why I'm starting with the root and working my way up.

I didn't plan this, but during the focus on the root chakra there will be a full moon, a blue moon to be specific. I'll be doing some moon salutation yoga, which happens to be very good for the root chakra. (Perfecting timing huh?) It opens up the pelvis, allowing room for healing and strengthening, ultimately to feel grounded. I can't wait to worship the moon and heal my body!

I'm working on my own little Chakra 101 guide. Maybe not so little though, because I want to add everything I learn about chakras. We'll see, the root chakra will be published by the end of this week. Now I'm going to do some yoga and pass the fuck out.

Located at the base of the spine, the first energy center, sometimes called “the root chakra,” relates to our most basic survival needs and our sense of belonging, whether to our family or a larger group. When this chakra is clear and energy flows through it freely, we feel secure and confident that we can easily fulfill our needs. On the other hand, blockage in this area can cause us to feel anxious and worried.

This chakra, which connects us to the earth, gives us vital information about whether actions we’re considering will nourish us or pose a threat. When we have a decision to make, we can listen to the signals of the root chakra: Uncomfortable sensations are a message to be alert and reconsider, while pleasant feelings indicate that a given course of action is likely to meet our needs for safety and nourishment.
