“Hey, now. Don’t cry. Want me to get you some sweets or food or somethin’? Anythin’ to make you smile?” He asked, seeing her worse for wear and, from that, figuring out that she was one of the captured Cirque members. “It’ll be alright. They’re all gone.”

“Oh, I’ll be alright thanks to having some time off....” She nodded lightly, however she rose her eyebrows at him with a smile touching her features. She was still not up to par in the least... she couldn’t teleport. So just having someone offer that perked her up a bit. “But I wouldn’t mind taking you up on that deal though... maybe a meal and sweets? I’d be happy for the company.”

“At least the Ring Master’s giving us time off? I think we all deserve some time to ourselves!”

Charlie had been dizzy the last few days thanks to the beatings, his head finally letting him wake up enough to see where he was. Back in this stupid fucking cage? Great. Sighing heavily, he looked over at the others and saw how broken they were. That’s when he saw the spirits down below, his body tingling with their call to him. “Sssh sh, guys. I’ll be okay. No, I don’t need nachos. I need out of here.”

“If someone is bringing nachos, I don’t think any of us are in a position to turn them down.” She tried to make a joke but it came out a whole lot more half hearted and dull than she’d planned. She sighed, she’d taken quite a beating with the torture, refusing to speak and calling them names apparently not earning her any brownie points. “You holding up?” She called over to him, leaning against the barns looking at him.

She relaxed slightly when they answered her back and felt relief flow over her since they were alive. When the hunters had flooded into the Cirque, she had run past so many fallen bodies that she didn’t know who was alive, dead, or unconscious. “Alive,” she answered back, gripping the bars of the cage she had been forced into. Outside of the tent, she could hear the sounds of the hunters moving around, but they hadn’t come back inside recently. “Worried,” she added, knowing she only had just over a day left before she had to return back to the water. And she doubted the hunters would care much about that.

Adelaide hadn’t really had much of a chance to see what status anyone was at. Nevermind figure out who made it where. It was so quick- first shew was there and then she heard only a small commotion before she was waking up in a cage. Then again- for someone with the power of teleportation you couldn’t really give them any warning could you? It was frustrating, that they’d somehow managed to block her power. It would have been so perfect for ehr to get away, save the others. But they’d gotten here- gotten in without being noticed. Clearly they had some intelligence. Aj ignored anyone but the members of the cirque, the only attention to given to hunters was a cold, dead stare if they came anywhere near her cage- thankfully they hadn’t for some time. “Alive... that’s good... I think we’re all worried... but we’ve got each other, right?” She wanted to give the other some form of hope... or... something.

Chester rolls his eyes at her words. “Hunters only keep people like us alive so they can torture information out of us. Try telling me that again after they’ve stuck several knives in you.” He shifts again, chain rolling against his bare torso turning it an ugly red as if he’s burned by flames. “Yeah, totally. I’m being covered in wolfsbane and you’re locked in a cage. We could definitely take them.” Sarcasm laces his voice as he braces his hands on the floor trying to breath easy despite the horrifying fact that he was going to die the same way his family did, by the hands of these assholes. Hearing her words he lets out a broken chuckle. “Good luck with that.”

"I know that... I... assumed.” She huffed a little in annoyance... she could be a bit less than optimistic but this guy wasn’t kidding when he said she was asking a pessimist. “It’s better to go down with a fight and try at least... than to just give up and lie there. Don’t you think? Or would you rather just let them do as they please with you? Give in. Give up. I’d like to think that maybe even if I can’t do much it’d be something.” She wanted to sound fierce and confident and it started out that way, but by the end it was just masking desperation. Wanting to have some hope to cling onto.

“Hello? Are you…Are you…” she paused, trailing off as she stares at the person caged near her. “…alright?” It was a silly question to ask after everything, but she was too scared to not reach out to someone. She looked to the ground below her, finding it ironic that now she was suspended in the air beyond her control.

"I’m alright... I’ll live.” So far. She’d already heard them asking questions... they didn’t seem opposed to violence. So she wasn’t all too optimistic that they’d be against torture to get the information. And she was stubborn- she wasn’t going to talk. She knew full well if they went that route she’d endure a lot of pain. But it didn’t change her mind. “Are you okay?” She turned her attention to the other woman truly hoping she was since Aj couldn’t really help her from here.

Everything hurt, burned even and as his blurry eyes came into focus, Chester realized why. His back was against the cold hard floor, chains laced with wolfsbane wrapped around him to keep him down. A moment of panic sets of in which he pulls at the chains, the clinking and rough tugs echoing in the tent. His skin burned under each chain link and his eyes turn amber, fangs returning and claws gripping the chains tight. After a few minutes of struggling, he’s too weak to continue, exhaustion sat in as he pulls himself to his knees and braces his hands on the floor, breath heaving. Hearing another voice his head shoots up, spotting a hanging cage nearby and a brunette inside. He lets out a weak laugh. “You’re asking a pessimist.” His voice is scratchy as he replies.

She could hear the chains moving and clinking together at the man’s movement. She shifted so she could look down at him. Scooting to the edge of the cage enough to look down at him she sighs lightly at his words. “We’re alive so- that’s a plus so far.” Better chance than others. She sighed, she wanted to be optimistic to say they’d get out. “We have a fighting chance, I guess... right?” She rested her forehead against the bars. She just wanted to cry- she wouldn’t. She wouldn’t let them see her curl into a ball and just sob like she wanted to. Instead she drew in a breath, shaky and uncertain before speaking again. “We can make sure to take a few down with us.”

She was angry, tired and weak. She wanted to cry, but she wanted to kill the next person who came near her unless they were there to let her out. She wasn’t sure what she could do. She couldn’t teleport out- she’d tried. She couldn’t break the bars- she’d tried that too. But she was exhausted, emotionally and otherwise. So instead she just sat, her legs pulled up to her chest and her arms around them. “Do you think we’ll get out?” She asked idly, just wanting to see if anyone was awake...alive... conscious.

“If I wasn’t performing I’d offer to help... And I’m afraid I don’t know much about security... If I can help in my free time I’d be willing?” She offered, clearly Blair was upset. Hoping maybe she could lend a hand. She knew how rough it could be sometimes.

“That’s all it takes I think. A few moments for something to actually sink in. Of course, some might need more persuasion than others but eventually they’ll learn.” She shrugged. People were stubborn but everyone had to learn at some point, right? “You’re very welcome. Well, from how you described your encounter with the man, you seemed to be.” She chuckled softly.

"That’s all it takes to screw it up too- clearly he couldn’t have thought on it more than that.” She chuckled, her anger subsided she could make a joke out of it. “Yeah- I just don’t deal well with stupidity... or general rudeness.” Being looked down on was what pushed her to the edge to use her powers. Well that and a life threatening trick but it was being looked down on and told she couldn’t do it that pushed her there in the first place. What was more inconsiderate than that?

She smiled- like anyone it only made sense that werewolves all had different opinions of their powers. Or their curse, as some may call it. It simply a fact of life, you couldn’t expect everyone to love it. Especially those that didn’t have any choice in the matter. She wouldn’t mind- if it happened to her. But Eli seemed less than thrilled honestly. “I’ll try to do that - later, after I set up some clothes outside my caravan or something...” She laughed lightly. Even just sticking them behind it - a dress that would be easy to pull on and quick. That would probably make the most sense. “I can only imagine... Yes that’s definitely something I’d rather avoid...”

Margot beamed at the young woman. “Some people like doing that, don’t they? Try to act like the bigger person, even though they don’t really think things through,” she mused. She had her fair share of the same people, though she didn’t act much on it. The times she had lived in and her own nature didn’t help much. “Well, I’m glad that you’re alright at least. Maybe he’ll learn his lesson from that.”

"Oh yeah- I’ve never really understood how  violating someone is a good thing but hey- maybe he’ll learn eventually.” She hoped he  did. Either that or that the next woman just flat out punched him in the nose. She should. Oh she should have. It wouldn’t have been hard. “Thanks, I’m a tough girl, just easily annoyed with stupid pushy people.”

Her senses were... amplified. Her hearing better, her sight better, sense of smell better. It was definitely playing with her head. “I feel like I have a hangover- I didn’t even drink last night...” She decided then that she was going to see a doctor or something... maybe it was just a headache. However, after an attempt to teleport failed- she tried again. “What the hell is going on.” She ran her hands over her face. It wasn’t uncommon for powers to fritz when something was wrong... but usually she could manage if she really focused. Now... nothing.
