So, while rewatching "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012" for the hundredth time, I couldn't shake the feeling that the authors had embedded something like a villain projection onto the heroes.

Well, let's see. We have two turtles out of four, Raph and Leo, and they spend the entire series fighting, competing, and acting on their personalities. BUT! After season 3, I noticed one thing: the similarities between the turtle brothers' characters and Hamato Yoshi (Splinter) and Oroku Saki (Shredder).

Yes, the conflict between the two is about different themes, but broadly speaking, they're very similar. They're especially similar when you consider their personalities. Raph and Shredder are both very impulsive, aggressive, and sometimes obsessed with revenge.

While Leo and Splinter may be self-assured, they're also very disciplined and, to varying degrees, reserved. It's not even a matter of leadership status, but rather a matter of personality and temperament.

Not to mention that Leonardo and the young Splinter had the same weapon, katanas. And sai is very similar to kakute the Young Shredder

And if we imagine, purely theoretically, what would have happened if Shredder had managed to lure Red Turtle to his side (which formally happened in episode 16 of season 3), we come to a very terrifying conclusion. If not for the influence of Splinter and turtle brothers, Raphael would have had every chance of becoming a villain.

I was also confused by the moment in episode 8 of season 3, when the turtles went off to "fight in the spirit world." Everyone decided to make new weapons for spiritual growth, and Raph chose the Tekko-Kagi, the same "claws" that Shredder used.

And in that same episode 16, we see him pick up the weapon again, but this time under Shredder's command.

I just noticed the similarities. But it's very interesting to talk about.

In general, this could very well be a good "what if" story, maybe a fanfic or a comic.....food for thought 🤔

I'll add that while I was scouring Wikipedia for the correct spelling of names, I noticed this in Shredder's description. I've read the TMNT comics, but I don't remember anything like that. I don't know if this is true, but I'm inclined to think it's not.

I absolutely LOVE Whispy's voice!

True, all the time I watch his videos, videos with his participation and the character of Verity, I really like how he works with intonation, how he puts his soul into the voice acting

He's seriously cool!

In general...Cats are difficult to wash, but bald ones are more difficult.

And…well. My expectations are just my expectations. But I thought it would be better?

SPOILERS AHEAD. IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT, BE CAREFUL.

Like, the whole episode is about the characters crying, talking, and then going on with their lives...and…that's it?

It feels unfinished. I was bored at the beginning, and this cried for more than half the episode. But by the end, everyone was back to normal almost instantly, Kane came back to life, they scrolled through Instagram and discovered they were just digital copies.

Oh, well, Jax disappeared somewhere in the beginning, but it doesn't matter.

I understand Gooseworks; the fandom brought a lot of negativity, and she wanted to finish the work as quickly as possible. But…as if could have added a little more lore?

We didn't learn who C&A was, what kind of headset the characters were talking about, how it works, who needs it? Where did the bubble go at the end, and how does dispersal work? And many other things that we were not given an answer to.

This episode was advertised to me as "You DIDN'T EXPECT THIS!!! There's something in there that no one expected!" I expected it. I and others assumed the "We're just copies of real people" trope was in place, but as if, in that case, the ending would have been… sad? Not just "Oh, well, it`s ok? let's go have some fun," but some kind of psychological tragedy where everyone realized their situation, went crazy… and fucking died.

Well, honestly, the ending is too light and reminds me more of My Little Pony than a serious work assured of cartoonishness....

While the first few episodes were gripping, prompting theories and engaging interest, now it feels pedestrian and dull. The ending is haphazard, leaving questions unanswered.

I don't blame anyone, but now, like Goose, I most likely won't touch this series....

Okay! I finally figured out what to draw.

So, I decided to draw frames from the 2nd episode of Verti from my perspective

First, I took the moment from the end, where Twixxel already… well, gone

And then, the moment with the books (Yes, in scribbles and sketches, I'm tired)....

Ah, well, for a long time I couldn't understand what I wanted from his humanization(?)

I rewatched ThatMob's older videos and tried to piece together his image in my head.

I also spent half a day listening different music…this has nothing to do with the drawing, but in some places it could have influenced the implementation of the idea :")

Mostly gorillaz, like Controllah, White Flag, Momentary Bliss, and others. There were also SystemOfADown, like Shame , The Metro, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember....

Because of this background, Mob's shape could have turned out to be relatively sharp and even a little aggressive, but I don't see anything wrong with that, considering that I didn't add many details to him anyway.
