GET HIS ASS CALEB
A reminder, in light of the recent news.
I haven't stopped noticing the severe change in costuming and makeup for Robby between seasons 1 and 2. He look entirely different. It's a really dramatic change in how he presents himself.
In season 1, Noah Wyle described the costuming process for Robby as: being shown a wardrobe and doing what Robby would do on any random day-- pick what was clean. The result is something comfortable. Old cargo pants that don't match his scrub colors at all, a t-shirt, and an old hoodie. His hair is not unkempt by any means, but it's scruffy. The result is this gentle, at-ease man who is dressed for utility. He doesn't need to look nice, he needs to do his job. It has this rounded shape language to it too that makes him seem friendly and approachable.
Season 2 Robby is all sharp angles. He looks distinctly professional. The green fleece and quarter sleeve match, his black pants fit quite nicely, and his hair is much neater. Noah Wyle has yet to say anything about Robby's costuming this season but the shift feels so intentional.
And the makeup this season is incredible. Robby looks 10 years older. He is gaunt. His skin really shows his age. It's unclear if Noah Wyle did anything to his body but they certainly took pains to make it look like Robby lost a lot of weight.
He looks unrecognizable here. It's genuinely phenomenal.
How Robby presents himself has always been such an important part of his character. His costuming for season 2 feels so significant. This is his last day at the PTMC. All of his actions are tinged with the word "final." That affects every choice you make consciously or subconsciously.
What do you wear on the day you say goodbye to everyone you care about? How do you want them to remember you? Do you spend a little extra time on your hair? Do you try to present yourself as someone confident, capable, and larger-than-life?
When you get dressed that day, are you thinking about what your picture is going to look like on the wall near the entrance of the ED?
On top of this, in season 1 his hoodie and undershirt are navy and white. Colours that fit closely with the rest of the teams scrubs and the overall hospital colours. In this season, his identity is strongly connected to the hospital and he is an integral part of its function.
In season 2, he's considering his identity and place within the hospital and he feels less emotionally connected to the team and the colour choices refelct that. The muted green of his fleece and undershirt aren't a complete clash, but they're not as in tune with the hospital colour scheme as before.

Awoooooooooooo
mel king:
IS HE NOT RETRIEVING?! Mel hasn’t picked up a glove herself since S1E1 when he was around!
june 1st in the pitt santos says langdon is homophobic if he’s mean to her this month langdon hits her with the right back atcha and she’s like what? he tells her he’s bisexual and santos spends the rest of the shift trying to prove that he’s lying for clout. langdon shows her a picture of him doing body shots off of a twink and she’s like. okay well you could just be an alcoholic that doesn’t mean you actually fuck men. it comes to a head when garcia gets tired of their shit and shows santos a picture of langdon in med school making out with his frat boy situationship (they both later married women and the guy tries to deny that he was ever gay despite frequently telling langdon he’s a better fuck than his current wife) and santos is like. fine okay whatever faggot
My pookies forreal
The Pitt is baby's first fandom for so many people. Wdym I should hate Langdon, because he was stealing pills and treating patients high? I was 9 years old watching Dr House pop 3 stolen Vicodin with a half bottle of Whiskey and then treating the Black Plague. Who am I to judge?
This has definitely been said a million times before but the way deadloch just flipped gender dynamics completely. The way the men in deadloch finally got to see for once what it feels like to have the low level daily fear women feel every day. To see the authorities not prioritizing their safety. To see them getting told we just don’t know what to do be more careful
this is what fem sirius dresses like in my head
