I had no idea that they have alligators in Texas!
It's very pretty. Make it go away.
Of all the many things I thought I might see while I was in Texas, snow didn't even make the list.
Sorry for the lack of updates - it's been a very busy week and a half, and I am a very tired stingray.
Have you ever heard of the BBC Radio drama, Cabin Pressure? Well, I think our final plane is MJN's GERTI. Our pilots were very nice, and the plane was quite cramped. And may have had a hole in the fiberglass of the cockpit so that I could see some of its internal riveting. The important thing is that it got us safely to Victoria.
My latte is holiday favored. How bizarre.
We've landed in Dallas! It's hard to believe that after only five hours of flying we're almost there!
I'm in Charlotte! I've never been to North Carolina before.
Let the journey begin! Next stop - Charlotte!
The first leg of the journey begins! First flight - Harrisburg to Charlotte.
It's a Moon car!
Time to finally finish unpacking my suitcase from Saipan so that I can pack to leave for Texas on Thursday. ...I may have procrastinated on unpacking just a bit.
Goodness, that's intense. I think I'll wait to get a map once we get to Victoria.
I thought I'd be resting my metaphorical feet for awhile after my trip to Saipan, but it's not to be! My friend and I are heading off to Texas next month. Neither of us has ever been to Texas - we didn't even fly over it on our way to Saipan. It's very exciting!
Well, I had intended to get a few pictures in Dulles airport, but customs was a nightmare! An hour and a half layover and we still barely managed to make it to our gate with ten minutes to spare! At least I got a few hours of sleep on the flight from Japan. I am one tired stingray. It’s good to be home.
So long, Japan! Time for the long haul - twelve and a half hours to Washington!
Finally off the plane and in Japan!
