IMAGE EMERGENCY ✎ 001
[It was the most disastrous weekend in history, and Eliza had been sorely tempted to just burrow under the covers this morning and hide from reality. By now, her coworkers had all surely seen the video of her puking into a very flimsy barf bag on YouTube, and she was so not in the mood to see the looks on their faces when she walked by them and headed towards her cubicle. She’d used up almost all of her sick days, though, and with a heavy sigh she dragged herself up and prepared for her day.
As she entered the office, though, she realized there was one person who might not know what had happened to her yet… One no-life, clueless nerd who probably thought YouTube was a waste of brainpower, or whose head had been in a dictionary all weekend or something instead. And that one person probably knew exactly how to get people to take her seriously again. With her head held high, she marched straight past everyone else in the office and barged into Henry Hao’s office, not even bothering to knock on her way in.] “I need you to help me fix my image. Like, immediately.”
@henryhaos
[Henry had been holed up in his office all morning, trying to rap his head around the fact that they had passed him over for the promotion. He was the most successful junior marketing rep in the company. All of his proposals were turned in early and he always returned profits greater than most of the senior representatives. He made the necessary small talk with his coworkers and he’d thought they all liked him well enough.
Or he had until his boss had confided that the reason he had been passed up for the promotion was his lack of social skills. It was true that he’d never seen most of his colleagues outside of the office, but who he did or didn’t grab a beer with on Friday nights wasn’t anyone else’s concern. Or so he thought. Henry’s soul-searching was interrupted when Eliza Dooley, a sales rep, stormed into the room and insisted he help her ‘fix her image’.
Henry gaped at her for a moment.]
“Exuse me?” [He muttered in disbelief. Eliza was one of the most well-liked, if notorious members of the office. And almost no-one out side of marketing knew who Henry was. How could he possible help her?]
