❀ ’ somehow , meeting henry up here is a blessing in disguise . upon returning home , piper didn't have many friends . the only one she was comfortable enough to be around with are her friends , beau & sowon . and of course , her best friend , inno . they were the few ones who were patient enough to hang around for her to remember them eventually . other than that , her brother did let her know she didn't have enough friends because of the bullying issue she had to go through from highschool to college . since her surgery and being given a second chance in life , she wanted to change those . making friends is now on her list and piper was just so thankful that it's so easy to be around him .

she noticed the foreign bag he's holding and knew he bought something from a café that's not from downstairs . " you walked in freely with that bag ? and they just let you do so ? " she asks , chuckling , setting her sketchpad aside as she brings out her matcha latte into view , and a drink she bought just for him .

" just one ? i recall you promising me two . " a brow raises at him suspiciously as she says that in a teasing tone , exchanging the drink with the small paper bag he's handing over to her and mouthing a small thank you . " would i ask to meet up with you if i didn't miss you ? " she chuckles , unpacking the small bag of pastry he brought over . " well , it's been a stressful week at work . on top of that , i've got insomnia so i didn't get any proper sleep . i feel like a zombie at this point . "

"I mean, it's not like I was holding it up in the air or anything," he responds, followed by a chuckle of his own. It didn't even occur to him how awkward it could be to be spotted with a to-go paper bag from a different café until Henry had already entered the café downstairs and subtly squeezed the bag against his chest, hoping no one from the staff will notice it. And as far as he's concerned, no one did. "Do you think they would have kicked me out? Maybe I should come up with an idea how to get up here if they do kick me out one day. You never know."

Henry takes the still somewhat hot drink from her, pleased to notice the scent of coffee coming out of it. "Ah, well ... there's just space for one in my car, though," he says, ignoring the fact that there's plenty space for teddy bears in his SUV, even big ones. And he knows that she knows, too. Probably. "Don't worry, I did not forget. One at a time. What are you gonna name it?" He takes a sip of his coffee, an Americano just how he likes it.

A small grin appears on his lips when she answers his question, and he gives a nod of his head. "Touché. I missed you, too." He arches a brow when she tells him about not getting any proper sleep lately, despite having had such a busy week. It's nothing that's unfamiliar to him, quite the opposite. It's not that he would call himself a workaholic, but he does tend to give 110% whether he's rested or not. But when it comes to others ... and especially people he cares about ... he tends to worry. "That doesn't sound good. I'd offer you a sip of my coffee, but what you really need is sleep. Maybe we should do something that actually gets you tired." He takes another sip, thinking quietly. "Unless you just wanna sit here and listen to me talk, maybe that'll get you to pass out right on the spot, too."

❀ ’ ever sincen piper went to her favorite spot on the cafe , she's long accepted and established that she has to share the space with someone . it's a public setting and she can't take ownership over it . however , thankful , because then she made a new , amazing , friend out of it . sadly , due to work and real life getting in the way , the two haven't hang out in so long . which is why after their exchange over dms , piper decided to include henry on her self-care weekend . being with a friend helps her mentally anyway . with them , is like a form of rest for her .

the second she hears the door of the fire exit opening , she glances back at him and flashes him a warm smile . " hey , what took you so long ? did you get me those two giant teddy bears ? i still remember you promised to get me one . " she teases , a wide grin stretches upon her lips .

The sun had started setting before Henry even left the house, and now that he finally arrived at their very own spot on the café's rooftop, shops and streetlights far below provide most of the lighting surrounding them. To be fair, it's not their very own spot – Henry keeps wondering when the day will come that the owner of the building comes to shoo them off the rooftop. But until then, it's theirs to claim.

A wide grin begins to spread on his lips when he sees her, followed by a playful roll of his eyes. "Come on, it was just a little detour. Worth it, trust me," he says, holding up the small paper bag filled with baked goods from his friend's café. It might be a little ironic to bring these from a different café than the one that's just underneath them, but his friend makes some of the best sweet goods he's ever had. And if he can support her by buying it, well, win-win.

"Right, the teddy bears ... I got one sitting in the car, actually," he says as he sits down next to her, the surface still slightly warm from the evening sun, although it's becoming evident that winter's just around the corner. Good thing he put on one of his coziest hoodies, although just a little too big for his frame. "You'll get to meet him later. So ..." He opens the bag and hands it to her. "How's life? Did you miss me?"

“You know… I had a dream that I killed you.”

Henry is just about to take the first sip of the iced coffee he bought himself a few moments prior, but then pauses upon hearing Elena's comment. Without thinking much of it, Henry lets out a small laugh and places his glass back on the table. He casually wipes the thin layer of condensation moisture from his hand onto his jeans. "Something tells me this isn't the first time anyone had that sort of dream about me. What did I do this time?"

After a moment of silence, the amused expression on his face slowly fades and is replaced by one of concern. It's not like he's scared of Elena, but something about the way she told him about her dream seems somewhat sinister. There's a high chance she's just trying to fuck with him, and he's doing his best not to show how uncomfortable he's getting. A part of him knows he's gonna regret asking, but he does it anyway. "So ... how'd you do it?"

“Y-you don’t understand, he didn’t have a face!”

“I had a dream that I killed you.”

“Ah, yes… the room you’re staying in. It’s a paranormal hot spot, apparently.”

"I keep hearing whispers at night… I-I can’t sleep!”

“There was something else in there with me, I’m not going back to that house.”

“Come on, it’s just an urban legend…”

“Are you trying to tell me I’ve been sleeping in a dead girl’s room!?”

"I keep getting the feeling that someone is following me.”

“Don’t panic… but I think there’s someone else in the house.”

“I can still feel her/his ghost, and it’s killing me…”

“There’s something growling in the basement… could you, uh… check it out for me?”

“Can you just… can you please check the closet?”

“P-please… put the knife down.”

“I bought this haunted ring on eBay!”

“No, no, no – run!”

"I didn’t forward one of those freaky chain letters and now I keep hearing the laughter of children coming from my hallways at night.”

“The dead are all around us…”

“She’s dead! She’s dead and yet I keep seeing her, everywhere!”

“There’s something breathing under the bed…”

"You can’t tell me you don’t believe in ghosts after all we’ve been through.”

“I saw something I wasn’t supposed to see, something… that wasn’t supposed to be here.”

“Maybe an exorcism is in order…?”

“I woke up, and it was j-just… staring at me.”

“He was there, then like a second later he literally vanished! I saw it happen!”

“… what do you mean we didn’t talk last night? You came over, you were here.”

“Don’t! Don’t you dare open that door!”

“Something terrible happened here, didn’t it?”

“You know that book from The Evil Dead? Yeah, well… I’m pretty sure we found something pretty damn similar to it.”

“From the looks of it, the afterlife is a lot more fun than this.”

"Legend has it that you can still hear her crying for her lover in the dead of night.”

“I want to be dead, too.”

“Well don’t you look lovely, all covered in blood.”

"Whoa – wait! Please don’t go down there… let’s just get out of here, please?”

“Me and some friends played with a Ouija board the other night… and things have been a little strange since then.”

When Kit texts him to let him know that she's arrived in the hotel and is ready to go get some food, he goes to look for her room to pick her up right away. He's glad that she had agreed to come join him on his last few days in Greece, not because he's lonely or anything but because he's afraid that she might be. He knows that she hasn't been feeling super happy these days, and even though she can be a handful, he does treasure their friendship and wants to help making her feel better.

And what's better for your mood than a couple of warm, sunny days on Santorini, right at the beach and all paid for by his dear friend Calista? (Which he has yet to thank by returning the favor somehow, even though he's not that rich by far.) At least he's hoping that it'll help Kit's mood, along with his company, and that she gets to enjoy her trip to Europe.

It only took another moment or two until Henry finds Kit's hotel room, and he knocks at her door. "Room service! ... Ish. Hurry up, I'm starving."

‘Personally I think I could do a great job.’ She told him in a sing-songy tone, dragging him by the arm into the nearest store. Ever since he’d given her the OK to letting her dress him for the day, she had been filled with many exciting ideas on what to make him wear. It’d all stemmed from an off handed comment on his fashion just days prior, Jules had sworn she would be able to make him into a true casanova if she were to just dress him up a little bit more. He’d scoffed at her but after a few minutes of complaining and well.. almost pleading, he’d finally agreed and so now here they were. ‘I feel like.. blue is your color.’

"I feel like that's what everyone says right before creating a disaster," Henry mumbles under his breath, but still loud enough for her to hear. Although, he's under the impression her excitement is bigger than her attention span right now. Reluctantly, he allows her to drag her into the clothes shop and, once inside, pulls his arm out of her grasp to cross both his arms over his chest instead, almost looking like a sulky child. Except that he's a full grown man. "I do like blue, I guess ... sometimes," he says, hesitant. "I have a blue hoodie that I really like." Somehow, he feels like hoodies and the sort of casual streetwear Henry usually likes to wear is not what she has in mind for him.

For the last few minutes he had been sneaking around, following the older male through the area waiting for the perfect moment to catch him off guard. There had been a lot at stake after all, specifically their next meal and who was going to be paying for that. It sure as hell wasn’t going to be Yueon. ‘Hands up or you’re dead meat.’

Henry wouldn’t say he’s got a fragile ego, but he’s definitely a sore loser. Not in a way that he’d go as far as breaking friendships, no. But being grumpy and the definition of a sulking child for a little (or long) while? Yeah, that is one hundred percent him. “You didn’t even give me a chance,” he complains, though he can’t deny that he’s been defeated – the aghast look on his face makes that pretty obvious. “When did we even agree on letting just one round decide for us? Come on!” Henry would have made his little tantrum complete by stomping his foot on the ground, but he is a grown man after all ... somewhere, deep inside.
