“Wanna give him a try?” she asked.

“Really? Can I?!” She smiled wide.

She nodded and took the device. “Just need to set it up so he comes out first and get you to a good area so that no one beats him in one hit,” she explained, switching the swan’s and Sal’s places and going to a much lower level area in the game.

“The monsters may be too low level but it’s at least until you’re used to Sal.”

“Hm…okay…” It took her a while to do everything told to her, but soon enough she found herself battling with a trainer. She picked out moves randomly, and it seemed to work out just fine…

Trisha just watched and decided to try and draw some of the weaknesses that some types had as she played around.

Before long, the battle ended abruptly. “Oh, I lost…”

“Huh? Oh! It’s ok! Sal just needs a bit more training,” she smiled. “We’ll beat them later with a stronger Pokemon!”

“Oh, okay. I-I sure hope so. I had fun anyway.”

Trisha smiled as she took the game. “How about I get you one of the older games? Then you can play it and probably do better next time! Or maybe we can battle each other!”

“Sure, we can try that.” She shifted through the pile of cartridges again, assuming that one with a lot of scratches on it must’ve been older. “Is this one good?”

Diana, Lv. 47 (which looked like a white swan) Swanna

Chelsea, Lv50 (an eggplant?) Cherrim

Sal, Lv 28 (something green and yellow?) Leavanny

Eon Lv36 (a blue rock?) Elgyem

Kyle, Lv 34 (a giant crab) Kingler

Sabrina, Lv. 37 (a teddy bear!) Spinda

“You can check them out by hitting A and going to their summary!”

“Ooh… I like the leafy one.” She decided to check that one out. “Interesting…”

“That’s Sal! He’s a grass/bug type and he can’t evolve any further in this form. It’s like…um…his last upgrade! Some creatures like Sabrina can’t evolve but I still like them!” Trisha smiled.

His moves were Agility, Bug Bite, String Shot and Razor Leaf and it appears that his special move was Chlorophyll and his nature is Adamant.

“Well I have one of the Pokemon games in right now if you wanted to try?” she said, offering the small system to her.
