some pretty amazing views here lately

I made a post on IG that basically amounted to “if we aren’t qualified and educated we should not position ourselves as an expert and then give out advice on that topic online, particularly about medical advice as behavior professionals,” and got ran tf off IG for it. The bullying was overwhelming no matter how many times I tried to clarify the nuances people were really mad at me and put a lot of words in my mouth, and honestly I posted it thinking it was such a mild take that it was boring?

#I can’t believe all the things that were said to me because I did clarify that we should not be recommending people pursue a diagnosis #as in a specific diagnosis that we are recommending online #and instead should be recommending the gold standard of care if accessible #or not making recommendations at all #but recommending skipping a stepwise diagnostic process is wild
