Full review on every band ! Rates, overall show rate ! I'm overly excited for this show, not only for my second seeing of The Fallacy, my first and last chance to see Blind Witness ! Not to mention To Take A Life's DEBUT.

The second show I will be attending is " Shock Wave Festival " on July 9th 2012.

Now, these boys reside in South Florida. I came across these guys do to them following me. Now let me tell you, I've taken the last couple days to go through their youtube videos. Picking apart their music.. I've come to the conclusion I'm extremely impressed. " Pathways " claimed metal, metalcore and djenty, has just recently released their new single in the video above. Their music is very well put together, the vocals are exceptional and their guitar has my heart jumping every note.

Apparently since Skymir did not show up for the show, my personal favourite in the local scene Statue Of Demur played first. ( Picture posted ) Since Mitch is so short you can't really see anything other than his hair going wild up there by the drums. Jacob to the right on bass & vocals and finally Rich on guitar. These boys always put on one bad ass show.

8/10.

The second band which I had to hunt down the name for due to the submitter not remembering. Victimize played second and not doing very well, having a not very talented line up. The guitarist playing only a few chords per song, the bassist the only one having much talent at all. Playing more difficult parts than the guitarist. Though it seems their vocalist had quite a bit of talent as well.

5/10.

World Clash White Trash headlined the show, these guys are extremely talented and have blown up quite huge in the local scene. They're passionate not only about the music but how they present themselves on stage. Having an exceptional vocalist, bad ass guitarists and one of the best drummers in the local scene. These boys continue to kill it.

Death By Stereo.

Upon my arrival the band "Stressed Out" was playing, I couldn't even stand to listen to them. I was rather displeased and very unhopeful with the out come of this band.

Rate 1/10.

The second band " Cripple Creek Fairies " wasn't an entire disaster. Though the vocalist definitely needed a bit of work. Their stage presence kind of lacked passion and intensity. Which kind of lost my interest.

Rate 5.7/10.

Now, the third band " The Get Down " I was actually impressed with. Their lead vocals needed a bit of work, but an overall vocal performance from the two guitarists and their bass player were not to shabby. Though the buddy I was with had noticed the second guitarist was mouthing his counts, which I find extremely unprofessional. The music written well though, just needs work on the vocals.

Rate 8/10.

Lastly we come to " Death By Stereo " was yet again phenomenal. The vocalist's stage presence was energetic, passionate and semi vulgar. He ran through the crowd a few time singing to several fans. Having been the only band who had gotten the crowd moving all night ! Having the entire crowd belting their lyrics. Almost perfect instrumental, perfection of a voice.

I will be attending this show tonight ! I'm ridiculously stoked to see Death By Stereo for my second time at The New Black. Accompanied by Cripple Creek Fairies, The Get Down & Stressed Out !

Arbitrator Calgary Alberta, Canada. As you can see below I was JUST informed of this local talent. I searched it up on youtube and jesus christ let's talk about musical genius.  I can't even begin to try and explain just how excellent, astonishing and creative the few songs I have listened to are. This mixture of death metal and industrial will surely impress you as it has me.

Let's talk about the other reason this is man has nothing but sheer talent, not only for how great the music is. Let's look at how it's made, Rob Kulka does almost EVERYTHING himself. From vocals to the production. With a few guest appearances from other artists. You obviously are into the local scene. Are you only dedicated to deathcore, or do you review all local artists? Have you heard of the Calgary band Arbitrator? Their song suffer his unrelenting dominion is mastery. Definitely worth a listen or two. Did I mention that the vocalist, all guitars, and most of the bass is done by the same person, whom also does all his mixing and the mixing of many local bands within Calgary... Plus the EP is a free download...

I am a deathcore fan myself but am open minded about music. I am willing to give everything a try at least once. If you could send me a few links perhaps to this persons work I will view it and see what I think. I'll post it regardless of my opinion because I want to give everyone a chance. Even if I don't like it, some of my followers might !

Also, I will be doing some reviews on a local pop punk band Caught Off Guard and the band World Class White Trash.

Curtis Downing, A 23 year old guitarist residing in Calgary Alberta, Canada ! Curtis here is an exceptional guitarist. He's making his entrance back into the local scene along side Matt Fraser, Tony Ens & others in newly founded band To Take A Life. Formerly the lead guitarist of now split band Dead Girls Don't Say No ! I don't know much about him but from the many shows I have attended with him kicking it on stage, I've found he's extremely energetic, passionate and hard working. Not to mention he's made quite the appearance transformation from the last I saw of him in DGDSN! cleaning up a bit with losing all that beautiful long hair of his but still keeping that gnarly beard.

Ruins Will Rise a " melodic metalcore " band residing in Sandford/Winscombe, UK. These guys here have a rather interesting sound, from the little I've listened they seem to switch their sound up a bit. Racking up quite the fan base of roughly 2000+ in the UK music scene already ! They take their influences from so many different styles some including Architects, City and Colour, While She Sleeps & Many more. I'm quite impressed by this bands musical output so far, I'm excited to listen to more of them.

The band consisted upon first forming of close friends with a mutual love for music, later adding a lead guitarist to the line up. Their passion proves to be extraordinary. Keep up the good work guys !

Abels Last Stand, this band started following my blog.. So decided to give them a listen and was rather impressed with what I heard. From what I can see they've been together at least a year and reside in Staffordshire, UK. Claimed metalcore band consisting of five members. Gabe Brennan, Dave Muni, Scott Pinnington, Chris Ball and Paul Limm ! WHEN DREAMS BECOME MEMORIES TOUR.

As most probably all Blind Witness fans know the band decided to split in September of 2011. They have decided on one last tour ! The " When Dreams Become Memories " tour is hitting Calgary, Saskatoon and Edmonton ! This small final goodbye tour will be one you'll regret missing I'm sure. Bands such as Betrayal and The Fallacy will be accompanying Blind Witness. Local bands from each city having the honor of sharing the stage with them.

Calgary Event Date : July 3rd 2012 at The New Black.

Edmonton Event Date : July 4th 2012 at Avenue Theatre.

Saskatoon Event Date : July 5th 2012 at Sutherland Hall.

Edmonton Alberta, Canada hardcore/metalcore band As Bold As Lions has split ! Playing their last show in Calgary Alberta on Friday June 15th 2012 at the Skate Shack in Albert Park. The band formed in 2009 making their final goodbye just before summer of 2012. I had the pleasure of seeing this band before their disbandment and I must say they will be missed incredibly. Good luck to you guys in your future adventures !

The Bleeding Process I stumbled upon on YouTube, this deathcore band resides in Gloucestershire, UK. Though I have not had the pleasure of seeing this band live and unfortunately never will. I find myself craving their sound from time to time which can be found on YouTube and their facebook page. I strongly reccomend these boys to anyone with a love for ANY and all cores. Their vocalist Jonathan has quite the voice let me tell you, and a gnarly beard for all you beard lovin' ladies out there.
