Unsure of what I've shared so far of Anna's full acceptance of Dago's dragonborn nature, I've compiled the old photoshoot into one (hopefully coherent) post.
I don't feel like writing so let's just say Dago sometimes feels insecure and confused over his own nature & the challenges it's brought to their relationship. Anna works hard to make him feel more at home in his own skin.

Astarion x Shadowheart
Mommy K's big heart is always there for them
Something kept brushing against his fingers. Softly but insistently.
Annoying.
Astarion opened his eyes, his survival instinct snapping into full alertness before his brain fully formed a thought or image.
His hand was firmly clenched around a woman’s throat. He felt her pulse quicken under his nails. He let go and shoved her away in one swift move.
"What the Hells are you doing here?"
She flinched and put some more distance between the two as he rose. She massaged her throat where the bruises caused by his grip were already starting to show.
"I was just trying to check- "
"You shouldn't have come", he interrupted her.
Under the glare of his blood-red eyes, she saw the reflection of the campfire flames and she felt both cold and hot at the same time. The phrase "when the Hells freeze over" came to mind.
"It's just that... you're my first. Vampire", she stammered.
"That's lucky for you" he sneered. "Now leave".
As he gave that order a sudden noise made him turn around in an aggressive stance. Then an odd stench wafted towards them.
She felt a jolt run up her spine and scrambled to get away but lost her footing. Astarion caught her, without hurting her this time, just as a fire bolt blasted the slab he had been occupying moments ago.
She barely managed a strangled whimper as Astarion came down on her, as vast and as dark as nightfall.
A few shots taken in Blades of Fury
I've always had a soft spot for the Pale King, Mortarion. I won't justify it, it's just what it is.
Primarchs, it is known, weren't all made equal and weren't all equally lucky regarding the environments they had to grow up in. As infants, alone (lacking a true family structure) in veritable hellscapes, Mortarion and Angron truly make my heart ache.
I don't exactly know what it is about Mortarion that strikes me so deeply, but I'm sure his temperament, that translates into the way he conducts war, is a significant part of this kinship. Even in his Chaos form, during the events in "Lords of Silence", I can still find his original essence, the psyche born from toiling in Barbarus for the liberation of his kind (and his own).
I've always believed it to be true that hardships forge our character and that reflects on our temperament. But we also have a duality of paths: we can build on our flaws or on our strengths - and though he made his choice to side with Chaos, I've always seen the Nathaniel Garro in Mortarion.
Now, if this ever reaches a W40k fan it's likely they'd feel strongly against my words but bear with me as I try to explain. As connected as each Astartes is to their gene-father, I think of Garro as the virtuous version of Mortarion, what he could've been if he had chosen (or had been allowed) to build on his strengths. Or maybe I just see in Garro the man Mortarion was as a youngling in Barbarus. After Necare and before the Emperor.
The Primarch's penchant for audible introspection, his love for numbers and his whimsical use of them to add symbolism to his creations, his determination to see things through, unrelenting as a force and as a bastion. I'm not a Chaos-marine player in any way, but I can't look down on the pain Mortarion underwent nor overlook his complete mental and spiritual breakdown by Nurgle before the Siege of Terra.
Now I'm no lore expert, and I don't think I'll ever be, so take this simply as a very personal opinion of a nobody who formed a kind of "bond" with him - even after the change, even after becoming a Daemon Prince.
images were taken in Starfield and edited by me - landscape stitch location: Niira (Narion system)- portraits of my Mortarion-inspired OC who still awaits for a Scythe mod to be added to creations.

Blades of Fire
Finished the "Blades of Fire" demo & immediately purchased it.
Here goes my shout into the nether: beautifully crafted world, intriguing story, companion isn't unbearable, Aran is a proper hot hunk, photomode exceeds expectations & I suck at forging weapons but will keep trying.
Couldn't recommend this game enough. Currently on sale on Steam.
Frank Castle doing pull-ups while Danzig sings "Mother" was not on my hot hunk scenes bingo card this weekend.
Jon Bernthal aging like fine wine ftw.
Alphen (Wood-Elf)
Four-Elements Monk
HC
He has no name (Alphen is a callsign the party uses for him as he introduced himself as such - the word meaning "no one" in elvish).
First Disciple of the Bone Temple, as such, he's interest lies in the study of bones and burial rites, as well as understanding the art of Necromancy which he considers heretical and disrespectful.
On a personal level, Alphen is celibate and manages his own Ki force in connection to his physical urges. Though he won't take a partner during this campaign, he will alternate between meditation and solo sexual release.
