Heritage Village “First Annual Halloween BBQ”
This year this new 55 plus community decided to have a Halloween Party, watch a movie and have a BBQ. Over 50 people attended each brought a side dish or desert. It was a fun event, the neighbors were able to socialize and get to know their neighbors as well as meet the new home owners that are getting ready to build a new home in the community.
Smoked prime rib, smoked salmon, and BBQ chicken was prepared on the patio just outside the indoor pool, and located next to the new park, and new pickle ball courts. Diner was served inside the 7500 square foot club house.
The event was a hit and the community decided to make this an annual event. Heritage Village is a retirement community located between Walmart and the New Payson Temple, in Payson, Utah
The community offers many amenities, such as an indoor heated pool that is open year round, a hot tub, pickle ball courts, park with walking trails, full kitchen located in the a 7500 square foot club house. The club house also has an exercise room and a library.
Heritage Builders are building this 93 single family home 55 plus community. The community has the snow removal done for each resident and also takes care of the common and all the yard work and maintenance. It offers a great place for those wanting to down size but not give up quality. Maintenance free living, you can sell your lawn mower and throw your snow shovel away.

Popular Sport for the active adults “Pickle Ball”
One of the most popular new sports is taking of for the retired active adults is a game called Pickle Ball. The game is relatively new but is taking off in popularity especial for seniors. The game is played on a court that is about half of the size of a tennis court. It is similar to badminton, using a large ping ball paddle and hitting a large wiffle ball. It allows for fun and lets people of all ages be competitive in this sport.
Baby boomers that can no longer play tennis now have a sport they can pick up, that is more based on technique rather than speed and strength. It is a sport that is competitive and is a good form of staying active and have fun while getting much needed exercise as you grow older in age.
Heritage Village in Payson Utah is just putting the final adjustments on two new pickle ball courts constructed in their 55+ active adult community. The courts are constructed in park with walking trails and is a nice addition to the common areas enjoyed by the residents living in this project. South Utah County will now be able to enjoy what has become very popular in Southern Utah in St. George.

Pouring the last pour to construct the pickle ball courts in the park in Heritage Village. Pickle ball is a slower version of tennis and being very popular activity for seniors. We are hopeful this is an amenity that the 55 plus active adults here in our community will enjoy for years to come.
We are also working to have the park complete in the next couple of weeks. With our indoor pool, hot tub, and gathering areas we are trying to make our community one that is a life style for those that live in this community a great place to live and retire.
