God I. what a year it's been. I hold this stupid comic so close to my heart, even if it's a ridiculous concept to fuel my hyperfixations. There's still so much left to go, WE HAVEN'T EVEN LEFT THE RUINS YET, but I'm so excited to keep going and show you guys all the ideas I have.
I've met so many people this past year, I never knew how important making that Discord server would be. I've met so many awesome people and it's been such a silly goofy time. Your support means the world to me and it's still a weird feeling that people like my art and like my stories, I'm STILL getting used to that. Thank you all for just being here and sending asks and making me laugh and drawing fanart, you've all made my time here so worth while.

I feel so happy to know that RPG3 (and me by association) has helped people actually get into some of these games, and that was kind of a hope I had, I think. I got Chip into both Omori and Yume Nikki with this in one fell swoop and that's hilarious to me. I hope to throw in more games that everyone should hyperfixate over, just like me <3
I hope you enjoy this playable version of the prologue, the thing that started it all! Here's to the continuation of RPG3 and hoping that these funny little protagonists can get back home. some headspace friends!! my only regret for this is how little you can see of maris outfit because you lose the lily of the valley imagery she has ;^^
sunnys sketchbook plays a role similar to basils photo album in this au!! also hehe im very fond of how this turned out, even if the style isnt 100% down yet! also fun fact theres a reason why sunny has a slightly different pallet than the rest of the headspace cast smile.
instead of mari who dies its hero, and kel and aubrey cover it up as a suicide. basil represents (false) happiness, mari represents some kind of anger, and sunny represents sadness in this au (also aubrey being afraid).

It's them it's them it's them it-- AUGH!!! I LOVE THEM!!!
I (Twee) made the bases-- Salted did the clothes over them!
We also split up the colouring; I (Twee) did Kel & Aubrey, and Salted did Mari, Sunny & Basil!
Some design choices; Kel is a bit less tan than he would be if he went out more. He also tends to wear some of Hero's old clothes, since his don't fit anymore and he doesn't go shopping.
Aubrey has more scrapes, but is generally a lot more healthy! She's the exact same height as Sunny, but she's leaning on Basil to make fun of how short he is.
Mari is also the second tallest-- after Kel's ridiculous growth.
Some extra notes~!
Sunny is less Dead Inside due to Mari's help. He and Aubrey are friends, and he has a strange relationship with Basil;
Mari is a bit dim due to Hero's loss, and is generally tired because of college;
Aubrey is more sporty-- Her baseball bat doesn't have nails, and she actually does baseball as a sport! She and Basil are friends;
Basil is the most different! Because of Kel and Sunny changing drastically after Hero's death, he took to blaming Kel on Sunny becoming antisocial. He's a lot more... angry! Still anxious and a crybaby, but we've totally taken to calling him Emosil-- I'll save the infodumping for a different post yikes!

Unhelpful context:
Because Sunny and Basil had a falling out, Sunny blocked him on Tumblr. Basil proceeds to literally break down crying and begs him to unblock him every other month when they run into eachother.
This is dubiously canon.
Slightly more helpful context:
When Kel comes out of his isolation- (which is different from Sunny's; we'll get to that masterpost eventually)- He runs into Sunny and Basil at the park.
He see's that theres a commotion, and he moves to step in. Instead of a knife, Kel has a fucking rock-- and somehow, some way, he proceeds to literally throw the rock at Basil's head--
Me and Salted keep joking about Basil and Sunny fighting because of the Tumblr block, and Kel assuming that Basil is bullying Sunny. Everything we say is extremely dubiously canon, and I find that hysterical.

CHICO
A quiet young man who wanders around HEADSPACE, CHICO is always looking for a new adventure. Despite his usual stoic face, he’s known to be quite a prankster, AUBREY often being in the receiving end of his antics. Impulsive and quick to take action, he is rather careless and often ends up in trouble, with big brother HERO having to take care of him and the rest of the group. Nevertheless, he will persist… for his friends’ sake.

A talented young painter, SUNNY can often be found painting in NEIGHBOR’S ROOM alongside MEWO. Although he’s definitely skilled in the arts, he insists he still has a long way ahead of him to become as talented as his sister MARI, often feeling frustrated at his ‘lack of progress’. Regardless, if SUNNY’S confident in one thing, that’s his battling SKILLS, as he’s ready to charge in against any foe at any time!

AUBREY
Always full of energy, AUBREY is always happy to tag along and explore HEADSPACE with her friends! After finding her love for softball, AUBREY joined HEADSPACE’S local team, taking her role so seriously that she’ll always practice her swing when she’s not exploring with the others. Even if she and CHICO butt heads with each other, she will always lend him a helping hand, smashing anyone who tries to block their way.

A single blow is more than enough to send any foes flying!

BASIL
A rather timid individual, BASIL prefers to tend to his flowers rather than roam around HEADSPACE, though he always ends up being dragged into his friends’ adventures. BASIL doesn’t mind, however, ready to take pictures of every new place -or foe!- they come across with. Gentle and usually the voice of reason among his friends, he will always take care of those he holds dear.

MARI
Everyone’s favorite older sister, MARI is more than happy to take care of her friends alongside HERO, patiently waiting for them in one of the various picnics all around HEADSPACE. If she’s not helping HERO, you should be able to find her at the TREEHOUSE, the soft melody coming from her piano often being what gives her location away. A perfectionist to the core, MARI will always make sure your stay at HEADSPACE is everything you hoped for!

An essential tool for a conductor! At least that’s what MARI says.

HERO
The oldest and the most charming out of them all, HERO prefers staying out of the line of action, instead making some delicious SNACKS for when his friends come back from exploring. You’ll often find him talking with the residents of HEADSPACE, always willing to help them in whatever they might need, which has earned him quite the stellar reputation. If you ever feel lost, don’t hesitate to reach out to HERO, he’ll always help you find the way back home!

Hello, and welcome to the official blog for my OMORI swap au, ISOLI! This is an OMORI AU that aims to swap the original OMORI's Headspace emotional bosses (Sweetheart, Doughie/Biscuit, and Spaceboy) plus Mikal with Sunny's real friends (Kel, Hero, Mari, Aubrey, and Basil).
