Man, tonight marks the end for me of six years of Teen Wolf. For all it’s campiness and the years of frankly awful seasons in between, the finale really brought on a deep nostalgia and appreciation for the series. As silly as it is this was totally formative for me - as a person, a storyteller, hell even my fashion sense was cultivated from countless hours of checking out the costume design. I looked up to Allison and Lydia, who were strong female leads easily holding their own and growing as characters. I grew up with them. I watched Scott and Stiles grow, and literally then have had the pleasure of following Dylan O’Brien as a much deserved boost in his acting career has happened and continues on today. I was contemplating earlier today that, should I ever have a show picked up or be asked to show run, Teen Wolf will be a big inspiration. There will likely be a werewolf teens episode or at least campy Twilight parody drama episode simply because this series has been such a facet of my life. Anyway, a bit of a ramble but I haven’t felt as much joy and sort of sense of “roots” in a long time. Thanks Teen Wolf.
I am compelled to both vastly improve my storyboarding skills in shot calls and getting better at gesture drawings and simultaneously to enjoy exploring characters with a childlike sense of indulgence and lack of boundaries.

I usually try not to let my GF work take over my personal blog but I can’t help it for this episode. It was by far my favorite script to work with and I put a lot of this thing called “heart” into it. Hope you guys had fun! :) :) :) ;) (the ride’s only just started).

Some shots from my first episode of Ducktales when I was boarding. This episode was insanely fun to work on. My director John Aoshima and Executive Producer Matt Youngberg helped me adjust onto this show coming from mostly an action boarding background. Having a great board team in Tanner Johnson and Jay Baker was really inspiring as well. I love this show so much.
Les Dessinateur Fan Ending
I am a huge fan of the show Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir and my favorite episode so far is “Le Dessinateur” where Marinette’s classmate, Nathanaël, becomes an akuma villain. This video is set the next day in class after Ladybug/Marinette cleanses Nathanaël’s akuma and turns him back to normal. So to understand what’s happening here, I highly recommend watching “Le Dessinateur” first! Check out mlsubbing for subbed episodes!
I felt really bad for Nathanaël since he was bullied by Chloe AND his teacher in front of his entire class and didn’t get much closure in the end. So I created my own ending to that episode for fun to help me practice boarding and here it is! This is my first time doing all out boards and I’m proud of myself for finishing it! :D

I had a lot of fun working out this intro for OKKO’s “No More Pow Cards”. It was originally staged and boarded by @dannyducker. As the board supervisor I have to make decisions on where to plus certain sections from a board and I couldn’t resist pushing this one to feel like an 80′s Saturday morning toy commercial. Watch the episode! @stevieborbolla and @dannyducker killed it again :D
Ducktales finally premiered! I’ve been sitting on this stuff for about a year and a half.
The first half of the pilot movie was the first DT episode I directed. I was still getting used to drawing the characters (and at that time Webby had a slightly different look) but here are a few boards I can still stand to look at.
Shout out to my excellent board team Emmy Cicierga, Ben Holm, and Jason Reicher!!! And to John Aoshima and his team for nailing the adventure to Atlantis!

Some comparisons between my boards and final show. In case you ever wondered what it is I do. Things get carried over pretty accurately in animation so it’s super important that the storyboards are clean clear and have all the backgrounds in place (my apologies to Tony, our art director)
