Once, their silence burned too bright.
Eyes met and clung, weaving a thread too heavy to stay hidden.
And someone saw. A soft laugh, a remark dressed in wonder:
"the way you two look at each other... as though love has already chosen it's pair"
For a heartbreak, her blood ran cold. They had seen it. The forbidden spark, spoken aloud, naked in the air. Panic seized her-
The resemblance was her shield. Same blood, same shadow of a face, the echo of one mistaken for the other.
To them, the glance belonged not to the impossible, but to the one she was meant to stand beside.
The world moved one, harmless, unaware. She smiled, as though nothing had passed. But inside, the truth rang sharper:
They had been wrong, and yet not wrong at all.
