      [  casually flops sideways onto a bench. yep, he’s gonna take a break here for a while. not the ideal spot when anyone could probably need it, but he’s not thinking about that right now -- whoops!  ]

Honestly, the fact that Cloud even reacted to someone yelling about Cockatiel hair with looking around for who was yelling was…well he was kind of upset about that. Obviously, he got way too used to be called a chocobo in his youth. He blinked and turned to the other side when he felt his arm pulled.

“Uh….Yer lost?” How many people got lost around here anyway? Seriously, they should be offering maps when people arrive. “Where are y’ goin’? I’ll help if I can.” He’s gotten pretty good at getting around the city. Between helping other lost people and his work, it got pretty easy to find his way around.

      [  there’s a moment of silence, the younger freezing up -- smile and all -- as he stares at the man. where ... where was he going, actually? he had no idea. he was still getting used to everything and wandered out of the living space he was given to look around. before he knew it, touku had no idea where he was. good job, kid.  ]

uhh, good question ... where am i goin’? i didn’t thin a’ that ...

      [  body sways to one side, a hand lifting to tap at his chin contemplatively.  ]

maybe somewhere fun? actually, i dun’ really know what’s all here ‘n all. where are you goin’, mister?

      [  there’s an overexaggerated squint as he looks out across the pond, watching the stranger’s hat that’s floating on the surface of it. not surprising, the wind’s a little busy right now and he only has his ponytail to thank his own hasn’t been carried off in the same manner. they look troubled, hmm...  ]

want me ta go out there an’ get it for ya? i don’t mind gettin’ wet, an’ it’ll only take a sec!

      [  not here. not here, not here, not here ----- craaaap! why does shiro of all his team members have to go missing ... and in a park of all things! talk about not making things easy, right? a whimsicott hiding where a bunch of trees and bushes are is calling for trouble.

      getting in trouble so early into things would be embarrassing. is he bound to get in trouble at some point? definitely, but he’s still looking around thank you very much --  ]

h-h-hey! hey mister, can ya help me? i lost something -- it kinda looks like a sheep? have you seen her? s’real importan’ i find her as soon as possible, she’s kinda a brat an --

Wah! His hand was grabbed so suddenly, it made his face flush with the suddenness, the embarrassment– Unova? Trainer? Puzzle pieces fell into place, and Park smiled just as widely. “I’ve been t’ Unova! I’m Park, an’ I’m a duelist from Ryuma, offa’ Kanto, but I’ve been in tournaments on the mainland– Wait, wait a minute,” he paused, withdrew his hand, and rushed to gather all the cards into a neat stack, then snapped over it two rubber bands he had around his wrist to keep everything in one place before dropping the stack into his bag. (Organizing these would be for another time.)

“Sorry ‘bout that– ya said you’re a Pokemon Trainer?” Park glanced down at the stranger’s belt– it was really, truly, the shining and colorful sight of Pokeballs in their minimized form; no knockoffs could look that realistic. “What kinda team do ya train? I wasn’t in Unova that long so I don’t really know a lotta Pokemon from there, but I bet they’re neat! An’ you’re a Champion, too?!” 

His heart fluttered just knowing someone here was in the same boat– really the same boat! From the same place and everything, instead of the other hodgepodge of worlds that seemed to pour into this one. But he needed to pull back. He was making a scene, wasn’t he? “Sorry, sorry– I just haven’t met anyone else from where I come from, so I’ve been kinda homesick.” 

woah, have ya now?! suuuper great place, innit!! 

      [  what a relief, to find someone from the same place as him! or ... almost the same place. he’s been to kanto, at least, but it’s the same world in general considering this place doesn’t seem to have any books or information regarding the places he knows. what a peculiar thing, this city ... but that makes things fun , doesn’t it?

      the other’s enthusiasm is infectious, only bleeding into the champion’s own as he grins even more brightly -- if that’s possible. his chest puffs out once the cards have been completely collected, hands resting on his hips.  ]

ya dang right they are! they’re the pokemon i won tha champion title with, i’ll have y’know! well, zekkie’s one missin’ but that ain’t so bad, since he’s a legendary dragon ‘n all tha’. he can take care a’ himself jus’ fine.

      [  the trainer reaches out to hold the younger’s hands, bouncing in place a little. his ponytail sways with the motion to the point it’s almost comical.  ]

hehe -- s’alright, don’t worry any! i’ve been missin’ my pals too. ain’t been here too long, but you can’t have an expiration date on missin’ th’ people ya like, yea? i’m suuuper happy too! oh right, right -- what’s your name? th’ name’s touku grey, straight from unova! good ta meetcha!

      [  an accusatory point, directly towards said person. the spiked blonde hair stands out like a sore thumb, and who better to bother in his dire moment of need than a stranger? exactly -- he has nothing else to lose. hence as to why the brunet runs up to the other’s side, grabbing at his coat without hesitation. there’s an apologetic grin, but nothing more.  ]

i’m how ya say ... je suis lost.

“Sorry!” Oh no, they were everywhere. Not just the usual sixty– but the full 400 cards he had in his bag, and was studiously sorting into a new deck, fell all over the place. Park scrambled to start cleaning them up. “Oh, man, I’m real sorry ‘bout that,” he kept repeating; Ponyta, Professor Oak, Squirtle, Mew, Bill, Nidoking, and many others looked up with static faces as Park tried to pull them into a pile before they got too dirty or were stepped on. “I’m sorry to ask ya this, but can ya help me out?”

   [  whoah whoah -- there he goes, stumbling backwards after having knocking into someone carelessly. this city sure was something, wasn’t it? so many buildings and new places he’s never seen before, it’s not surprising his gaze is up and around instead of looking right in front of him.  ]

   oh, naw, it ain’t no problemo!! here, i’ll help y’out, ‘course buddy! s’all m’ fault that they ended up everywhere.

   [  and so touku kneels, beginning to gather up the cards scattered around their feet. he doesn’t bother looking at them very much at first, but soon pauses upon seeing the familiar picture of a pidgey. this was ... a pokemon card? in this sort of place? it makes him blink widely, scooting closer to grab one of the stranger’s hand and beam like the sun.  ]

   THIS IS A POKEMON CARD! YER FROM MY WORLD, AIN’TCHA?! i’m touku! i’m a pokemon trainer, th’ champion a’ unova! what’s yer name?!

   [  this definitely ... is not unova anymore, touku thinks. those buildings aren’t anything he’s ever seen before -- and last time he checked, he didn’t fall asleep in a pokemon center in a place with such scenery just outside his window. it’s beautiful, he won’t deny this but an explanation would be nice! he’s fine with going with the flow, but still, a name or someone to tell him what’s ...

   there’s a knock at the door that cuts off his thoughts. he bounces out of bed, straight to the door expecting a face -----

   nope. no that’s not human. how did it knock, anyway?  ]

... a pokemon? maybe? ain’t seen a mareep like this b’fore.

   [  he doesn’t think on it for long. soon, he notices the letter in the animal’s mouth, accepting it with a hum and opening it.  ]

stella city ... ? that’s what this place is, then, kiddo? well, s’got a perty nice ring t’it an’ all, so i ain’t gonna complain much ‘bout it!

   [  unsurprisingly, the sheep doesn’t give him an answer. he’s found himself in a strange place he’s never heard of before, given a room by people he doesn’t know, and -- wait. he pauses to look down at his belt, checking to ensure the pokeballs are still there. three, four, five ... hm, zekrom seems to be missing. better him than the others in his team, so he’ll be fine! probably! back on topic now, touku grey.  ]     uhh, i see, i see ... so, what should i do n --

   [  a lift of his head, and he sees another sheep has appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. there’s another letter, one that he accepts without a second thought. he’s even been given a job out of nowhere ... as a waiter? like, talking to people or whatever and giving them food, right?

   a snap of his fingers ensues, and the young trainer walks back into the oom, rummaging around the strange new room until he finds some pen and paper. since these people are being so kind, it’d be rude not to give anything back in response, right? alright, here we go ... scribble scribble scribble --  ]

dear aries and stella,

thanks for all your hospitality! i don’t know what you guys brought me here for, but since you went through all the trouble, i’ll take you up on the offer! you didn’t really need to since i’m kind of a woodsy person, but you know -- it’s all good!

also : i don’t mind about the waiter thing, but do you think you can give me a boy and a girl uniform? i’d prefer it that way for reasons! are they cute? i hope so! i don’t know dress codes around here so you might wanna give me one of those too if you’re writing letters to peeps. are you guys so busy here you can’t do it in person? well, it’s not like you have to but talking is easier is all, you know?

anyway, i noticed one of my pokemon team members is missing from my belt. he’s okay, right? you just left him behind or something, i guess? i trust him to take care of himself so it’s all good, but i gotta check up on that because he’s my buddy and all that.

oh, oh, one more thing! since i’ve never been here before: have you seen a guy with long green hair? i’ve been looking for him for a suuuuuuper long time so he might be here if i haven’t seen a hair of him anywhere else! his name is N Harmonia. he’s sort of weird but if you see him, send him my way! i really miss him.

   [  he reads over the letter once with a firm nod before folding it up, walking back over to the sheep and offering it out to one of them. they trot off down the hall then, and touku only watches until they disappear around a corner before studying the inside of his room. now then ... what do to now?  ]
