Semi-hiatus??

A roadtrip is coming up and I doubt I’ll be able to do much on my computer until we get to out destination, even then, I don’t plan on staying inside if the weather happens to be decent there. I’ll still be on IMs and stuff, I may even be able to reply to a few things but I don’t know right now.

“Put that thing back were it came from or so help me!” Link demanded as he stared at Komali, trying to figure out what possessed him to pick up a Chuchu of all things! “Those things are dangerous!”

Okay, now Link was just confused. The way she spoke of her family, they clearly weren’t like them in slightest. Though, he supposed, if he ever got the chance, he needed to meet them to see what Kaphona meant. Wherever this Forest Haven was; it probably took travelling by boat or that Deku Leaf she had mentioned. 

Grandma surely wouldn’t approve of him leaving the island, ever. She didn’t like it when his dad it, especially after it was what took him away from their little family. 

However, his thoughts were soon distracted by his new friend’s questions (in which he was rather eager to answer them). 

“It’s more of a platform than a building! But, yeah! We can watch all of the ships that come past here!” The young boy then pointed at the lookout, starting to lead the way at a rather fast pace. Link shook his head when asked about his sister’s ailment (he sounded worried. It truly annoyed him that he couldn’t help her), “No, grandma wouldn’t tell me, but I know Aryll had one of those fevers! A really bad one from the looks of it.”

Glancing at his Wind Waker and then looking back to… himself? Link responded with an unsure tone, “ Yeaaahh… ya see I was referring more to our… meeting. ” He tilts his head and continues, “ I get that everyone has their doppelganger but isn’t this a little to a freaky degree? I mean if you have a Wind Waker… and I have a Wind Waker, somethin’ has gotta be going on. ” It was like looking in a mirror and just maybe if the other didn’t happen to mention the Wind Waker, he would’ve thought it was a scary coincidence.

         Whether this kid was an alternate version of himself or not, Link didn’t know how to wrap his mind around the situation. He was intrigued and curious, wanting to know more about him but above all, he just wanted to figure out why there was two of them.

“I know,” Link huffed, nodding his head as he glanced at his counterpart. He didn’t know what to do; It wasn’t everyday you could look at someone else and they happened to be a spitting image of you (Though, Link assumed this wasn’t a common occurrence for anyone... Unless you count identical twins which it about as close as one got). “Daphnes would’ve said something if there were more than one Wind Waker.”

(if they both had Wind Wakers, what if they asked the wind to go in completely different directions?)

Gently scratching behind his ear, he pondered if the Wind Waker could’ve caused an accident like this. Meeting yourself? Clearly it was possible since it was happening right now but that didn’t explain how. “Uh... Would you happen to be from Outset Island?”

This new and unexplored land was vast but untamed. Hyrule, along with all of its problems like Ganon, were left behind under the sea. The Master Sword was among these things to be left behind. The sword would keep Ganondorf sealed under the sea, but the spirit of the sword was soon pulled away by Hylia.

Fi wasn’t sure of the purpose behind all of this, but she followed orders unquestionably, residing within a stone tablet on what appeared to be an untamed continent. It would soon crack upon Link discovering it, breaking up into an anvil with a familiar looking sword resting in its place. It looked much like the Master Sword but… different. A small show of light projected from the sword, a humanoid figure around Link’s age emerging and confronting him while floating diagonally above him.

“Greetings. If my analysis is correct, there is a 99.99% chance that you are the Hero of Winds. My designation is Fi. I am a servant of the Goddess Hylia. You have done what was needed of you in the past and sealed away the darkness that is the Demon King’s curse made manifest. You have done Her Grace a great service, and she wishes to reward you. I will act as a guide to these new lands. All you must do is pull this renewed Goddess Sword from its pedestal and point it skyward in the name of my creator. Only then can I recognize you as my new Master.”

When the stone broke and and anvil with a familiar looking sword appeared, Link felt his heart skip a beat from the panic. Taking a deep breath, he tried to convince himself that this was not a bad omen, that there was not an ultimate evil lurking in this new land, it was just a sword. 

(He wanted New Hyrule to be safe)

The boy just about jumped out of his skin when the figure appeared from the sword. His hand traveled to the hilt of his sword out of instinct, ready to defend himself if this being tried to attack. 

Wide eyed, Link listened to Fi speak (he wasn’t sure if he wanted to believer her or not). His mind was whirl of thoughts and emotions he wasn’t about to sort through (especially the ones that held contempt for the goddesses above, thousands died, and for what?). 

Blue eyes fell back to the sword before return to the spirit of the sword, only one question came to mind, and it mattered quite a bit to the boy, “Is there danger here? In, you know, New Hyrule?”

     “But needless to say, 

I’ll always stand with my friends.”                                 

                                        Dying is easy, young man.

                                              Living is harder. 

                                                                    “May you thrive, my comrades.

                                                         “I pray for your happiness with all my heart.”

Staring at his counterpart with a bewildered gaze wasn’t doing anything for either of them, but Link couldn’t help himself! It wasn’t everyday you ran into someone who held an uncanny resemblance to yourself to the point where they could be you! 

As unnerved as he was, the young hero was also curious. And we all know what they say, curiosity killed the cat, but in this case, it led to Link throwing suspicion out the metaphorical window. Besides, he couldn’t find any ill will or malice in the other’s expression.

“If you count messing with the Wind Waker as fate.”

Just a thought, I’ve seen several other Wind Waker Links running around and here’s the thing, what if they all came together and just became a general menace of the Great Sea? 

Basically, I’d love to interact with other Wind Waker Links.

Did that guard just try to order him? And what did highness mean? Either way, he sent a pointed look at the guard (unease bled from his stance). The only people who’ve ever given him orders were Daphnes and Tetra, people he trusted. Considering that the guards had already pointed spears at him within the first three seconds of meeting... They were a good few steps from trusting.

At least Princess Hilda wasn’t threatening and was being rather kind (Still, how does one get purple hair?).

Though, when she spoke out in his defense, Link wasn’t sure how to react. Deciding that he should just take it as a compliment even if it was mixed a bit with an insult (at least that part wasn’t directed at him). He gave her a small but visible smile.

“Yeah,” Link then reached behind himself and scratched the back of his head. The young hero’s gaze was trained on his feet, like a child who was caught red handed, before he glanced back up at her, “I didn’t know it was going to do anything, much less drop me off here. Usually it only responses to certain melodies. The one I used I just kinda... You know, made it up.”
