Hello friends! My name's Leo (he/him) I'm 23 and this my roleplay blog for all kinds of muses! This blog is low activity and the main focus is the fun in it!

Matt can basically feel himself trembling at this point. Yes, he’s angry. Yes, he’s pissed. But he knows there is nothing he can do. Anger won’t bring him further.

Cassie here, seems a bit different. She’s angry too but unlike Matt, she shows it. He likes that. Sometimes he wishes he could be more like that but then again he doesn’t feel like it would change anything. People would still be assholes and he would just be even more hurt than he already is.

He can’t help but chuckle at her cute-girl… Let’s call it an impression. “Thanks,” Matt ultimately says, running a hand through his hair “you’re different from the pervious workers we got here. You’ll fit right in.” he had already talked to Gail previously and knows that she agrees too. Cassie brings some sort of fresh wind and apparently also some new spirit.

“I’m just glad nothing happened to Gail. Or Cosmo. He’s a lousy guard dog.”

Cassie doesn’t even acknowledge his thanks; if going after the -phobes is the least she can do, then it’s her responsibility to do it whenever possible. Plus, it helps channel what her therapist affectionately determines to be deeply rooted anger issues. Well, fuck her with a rake anyway.

“Oh, if anyone goes for Cosmo I’ll rip their fucking tongue out,” she says, deadpan but still completely sincere. “I don’t give a fuck, I’ll take life in prison for that, guaranteed.” So she has a soft spot for dogs, who doesn’t?

Helping herself to the coffee carafe, she pours a cup and resumes her lean against the counter. “I don’t know about fitting in; never really seemed to be my forte, growing up. I just picked one friend and stuck to her. I guess there’s a first time for everything, though.”

"Don't worry if anything happened to Cosmo there'd be no tongues left to rip out. I'd give my everything for this dog." Matt reaches down to pat the dog's head that is just dozing off beside the counter. Cosmo is the only family he has. Sure, he's really close with Gail but he wouldn't call her family. Not like that, at least. But with Cosmo... Sure, he's just a dog but without him Matt wouldn't be where he is right. Maybe he would be nowhere anymore.

"Apparently there really is a first time for everything." he agrees and shifts his attention from Cosmo back to Cassie.

"Does your friend ever wanna come here? I'm sure I could make her a good deal with some free coffee." Matt jokes lightly.

“Bullshit,” Cassie says through pursed lips, leaning one hip against the coffee counter as she takes in Matt’s general dishevelment. Some kind of boss.

He’s pulling the noble schtick, the thing where he tries to brush it off like it doesn’t matter, when really there’s a discernible energy thrumming beneath his skin. She’s felt it enough times to recognize it in someone else; he’s pissed, and hurt, and feeling raw. Yeah. She knows the feeling. 

Honestly, if it weren’t dangerous to tell him the truth about what she does in her free time, she would. But it’s dangerous. Not to mention messy. 

“I don’t tolerate violence in the workplace.” Examining her nails—one of them is starting to peel, damn it—she’s careful not to meet Matt’s eye as she adds: “If anyone messes with either of you, let me handle it. The cops won’t arrest a straight-passing white woman for pulling the whole…” she puts on a theatrically tearful voice, “’pwease, officer, I was just pwotecting my fwiiieeeeends from the mean bullies’ act. Wouldn’t look good for them. I took Krav Maga in college; I got it.”

“What the hell happened?” (from cassie, for matt!)

"Nothing." he says shortly, picking up a chair that lays on the ground. It was not nothing, per se, but nothing that was new or worth talking about anymore. Matt's lip had a small cut and he knew he'd have a black eye by tomorrow.

"Just some... Disagreements." he waves it off before shaking his head. "Actually, that's not true. You should know what you get into when you work here." Matt says, letting out a heavy sigh. "With me owning this shop and Gail working we have a lot of people who don't... Agree with our lives and tend to show that through, well, violence." he states rather bluntly, unsure how much sugar coating would be appropriate.

"I understand if you're not up for that, I should've mentioned that earlier." he's lost quite a few good workers because of that and he'd be very sad to lose this one. Cassie just had something about her, that felt right and like it belonged here.

Matthew is very wealthy. Though he chose not to take his parents' money, he managed to save a lot. He lives in a van and tries to spend as little money as possible. The only thing he doesn't save on are travels. Though he doesn't usually stay at hotels but travels with his van instead.

Matthew loves traveling and camping. He has already seen a lot of the world and sometimes he rents a camper van in the summer to do tours across the country. His dog accompany him wherever.

Though it was Matt's decision not to talk to his parents anymore, he misses them. It's been years since he got so much as a "happy birthday" from his parents and he doesn't even know what his sister is doing now. It hurts him that they don't seem to care but he tries to ignore that feeling whenever it's there.
