We're the four... or eight heroes that once protected Hyrule- nah. That's just a story we like to read. We're actually guys in the Military fighting to get rid of titans and save humanity in this world. So yeah... Sometimes I think Red really does like fire. Like the kid loves it. Just look-

I mean just look at him, he smiles so happily has he burns his friend out of ice.

Not to mention when he’s right about to use the thing-

And let’s not forget that Big Poe thing. That kid was smug-

When he first found the thing he was so amazed then it blew fire. He was freaked out but then suddenly stuck to it. Like what happened to his sling shot?

And then there’s that quote from the manga where he’s like, “If you hit two rocks together it creates sparks.” Like geez, this kid was loving the flames from the beginning-

Blue: What'd you say!?

Flash:... There's a high chance we'll all die? *not even fazed*

Shadow: Hey! Hey! Let's go easy on the little guy now-

Green:...Uh... yeah, so rest assure we'll all come back. FINE. So no need to worry!

Shadow almost lost his hold on the horse but quickly recovered. That… wasn’t what he was expected. “…What? Is that… titan language…? Or…”

He paused and held the blade a bit lower, his grip loosened a bit. He gave the other a tight smile as his time in the underground came back as he stared at the girl in front of him. “Well… if ya were a titan, you’d kill me by now, right? Ah well, do you know where we’re at? I’m a bit lost, you see-“

So he was lost. How useless… But, she was still glad to have a human companion around, nonetheless. Wordlessly (for she couldn’t form proper words at the moment), she spun around on her heel and began walking away. She hoped he would get the message and follow behind her as she searched for a way out of the forest.

"H-hey! Where ya goin'?!" Shadow called out as he stood there dumbly. He glanced at his horse then his surroundings. Memories of some of the stories that the other soldiers would tell- mostly veterans telling the newbies- of how titans tend to suddenly appear, especially those who are lost in the forest of big trees. He gulped and quickly ran after the girl, pulling his horse along the way. "Wait up! Geez! At least tell me where ya goin'!"

The girl cocked her head to the side, her own blade easily at ready and prepared for anything unexpected. She opened her mouth to speak, but was only able to voice nonsense. She hadn’t talked in so long… “Heeehmin,” she choked out.

"Damn.." Shadow growled under his breath as he halted his horse. He glanced at his surroundings. "I didn’t even have time to look for the other signal… Oh Sina, don’t tell me I’m lost!"

The boy swung himself off the horse angrily keeping his hold on the reins. He took another glance and quickly grabbed the trigger held on his belt strap for his gear. Shadow took small steps as he led the horse along, he glanced to the side every so often as he tried to be as silent as possible. “Guys…? You there…?”

In a tree above Shadow, Misha hid in the shade carefully, watching the human’s every move. She noted how he seemed to be lost and instantly sympathized with him. But how did he get out here…? She hasn’t seen another human since her parents were eaten back home… He seemed clean and well fed (at least in her terms.) 

A sudden idea struck her. If he was well fed and clean, then that meant he came from a group of humans. A colony, maybe? That would mean this eternal loneliness could finally come to an end.

'Are you going to speak to him?' Fudo Myoo asked in her head.

'You know I am,' she responded with fiery determination in her eyes as she leapt out of the shadows and into an open space right in front of him.

Surprised by the sudden appearance of another, Shadow leaped back and quickly pulled a blade from the blade holders. He pulled the horse back also who seemed spooked by the other and began pulling on the reins. Shadow kept the rein in an iron hold however, from much experience in the underground. He pointed his blade at the other.

"Who the hell are ya?" He growled as he tightened his hold on the rein." Scratch that- Are you human or a titan?"

How long has she survived out here?

It had been so long. About ten years of hiding in the shadows. A normal human being wouldn’t have been able to withstand the hunger, dehydration, or other various hazards of the wilderness before her. Normal human beings would have already been eaten by now by the titans.

But she wasn’t exactly human and they must have sensed this. An exception. She would pass them by sometimes, and they would stare at her with hungry eyes. But they had no reason to attack her; she was more demon now than human. As long as she had Fudo Myoo, she was safe from their harm.

The strange weapon (a 3D maneuver gear, he called himself) protected her from everything. She no longer craved food, she didn’t have to clean herself (often… she wasn’t demon yet), and he knew a lot of things. He taught her how to get herself clothes, he taught her how to use the weapon skillfully, and even spoke to her about what humans were like before The Fall.

She hadn’t seen another human being in over ten years…

Until the day…

That she found one standing right in front of her.
