Inktober day 1 // Angel

I really wanna finish inktober for 4th consecutive year but between zine pieces, con prep and midterms i might die so let’s take things slow! My pieces might be way simpler this year but i still hope you like them!

What i wanna improve this year: less pencil sketches! More direct inking to learn more control over my strokes + learn how to use a brush pen and not die trying

Make way through the halls and don’t mind Ochako as she makes use of her quirk during after hours, floating around the residence hall on a broom she’d been cleaning with.

“Since it’s the first of October, time to get ready, no??”

Giggle, she floats herself around the halls, perched on a broom just like those witches in those old movies. She’s more than a little giddy.

But her words comfort him, they help to quell the jitters that rattled his ribcage as he thinkins more and more about being Alice. He can do this. It will be fine and he’ll have a good time at the Halloween party, and then maybe someday he’ll work up the courage to dress as he pleases when it’s not Halloween as well. For now, he offers Ochako a wobbly smile and nods eagerly in agreement. “Yes, that would be great, let’s do it!” 

“I promise nothing, Deku-kun!”

Ochako is only partly joking about dropping boulders on people should anyone give Izuku a hard time about wearing a dress; the other part of her is very serious about it, however. She’s all too aware that Izuku is still hesitant to wear typically ‘feminine’ clothes out in public and that this might be one of his few chances to do so without being met with hostility. 

If anyone gives him a hard time, she’ll make sure they answer for it.

“Great! What is everyone else dressing up as???”

“A-Ah, you think so? I was maybe g-going to do something else, but then I realize Halloween is the one time of year where I can actually dress like that? And it’s not weird because it’s a costume. But, ah, anyway — you would be great as The Hatter! I’ll do my best to help with your costume too!” 

Her grin is quick to turn into an admonishing frown and her cheeks puff out slightly as she clicks her tongue. 

“It’s not ‘weird’ even if it weren’t Halloween, Deku-kun; and if anyone says a bad word about it, I’ll drop a boulder on them.”

You think she wouldn’t?

“So, you should go as whatever you want! And you’d be a perfect Alice! I know a few good thrift stores around here that we could find parts for your costume at! We should go after class sometime later this week.”
