She could go on to clarify it was typically humans that were afraid of her, but it   was likely the stranger would just be confused if she told her that she was, in    essence, from another realm. She had only been in this fairy tale world for a     short time, but it seemed like they had no idea there were other worlds out      there.

And, looking Darling over, Morana admittedly felt a bit impressed. All the other   princess-types she’d come across had all but run screaming at the sight of    her before she ever said a word, making the ghoul figure they were not a     very brave lot.

“That it is, luv. Though if ye’ll forgive me, ye dinnae look lik’ someone who wid    both’r pickin’ up someain else’s things.”

she could not be surprised to gain this knowledge, for the girl was peculiar and particularities were often met with distrust and fear by the lot of ever after. it was simple how their stories went, blatant differences between bad and good ------ but darling refused to let herself make such a snap judgement.

          ❝ you know what they say --- you can't judge a book by it's cover. ❞

apparently such a sentiment extended to her as well, brows ticking together in a slight furrow when the stranger spoke again. she knew no ill will was meant, and held nothing against the other for speaking her mind, but she was always a bit curious when it came to how other perceived her.

          ❝ i don't? well... what type of person do i look like then? ❞

While normally she wasn’t a very confrontational person, Morry had grown so   used being stared at by weirded-out humans that she tended to assume that    was what was happening. After all, it was not every day you saw a girl with     skin literally white as snow and an anatomically-correct skull outlined on her      face. And Halloween wasn’t for months! 

Affecting a little grateful grin, she quickly took the charm bracelet back   and shoved it in her pocket before the other girl could look at it for too long.    Damnit, I hope none of those broke…

now that was a stupid question. it was likely a response the other received often and perhaps it was one darling, herself, should hold. her appearance was ------ something else, to say the least, but as the saying went looks could be deceiving. and darling simply couldn't stand by considering the circumstances, pretty as the bracelet had been she wasn't about to keep it.

         ❝ then it's a good thing i found it, i would have hated            for someone to lose something valuable to them. ❞

Missing out on swimming class would bring her grade down in Grimmnastics,but she had to skip today because there was no doubt that they would make her take off the hood. Since wearing a hood while doing laps wasn’t acceptable since it didn’t fall under swimwear dress code. Of course she’d probably get detention or a mirrorphone call home for deliberately ditching class today. Except her mother wouldn’t hold it against her like other parents did since she was doing it to protect the family secret. So before the lunch period ended she decided to hide out in the Lifairy until a familiar voice caught her ear and earned her attention. 

“Is it that obvious? I suppose your right. Are you skipping swimming class as well?”

of course it was obvious, but darling kept that to herself and spared patronizing the other girl. instead she smiled, soft and sweet as any damsel's smile should be, hands clasped before her.

          ❝ i am, ❞

her reply was quick, though spoken quietly, and one might find it odd. prompt and perfect darling skipping something, her own parents would be quite disappointed upon finding out, but she'd deal with that as it came.

          ❝ my hair took ages to get just right today,             getting it wet would simply ruin it. ❞

the sigh which fell from her was a rather convincing one, for vanity was often something common in princess --- and charmings ❪ even dexter spent more time in the mirror than some might think ❫. for darling this appearance of caring so much for her appearance was simple convenience, something that may cause a roll of eyes, but no suspicion. her fingers parted so she could tap her index against her lower lip, as though caught in thought.

          ❝ but, don't you think it'd be better to hide             somewhere --- not on school grounds,             where all the teachers are?  ❞

darling finds the idea of it abhorrent, to kill someone seems like such an outrageous feat. so often there is no real death within their stories that she doesn’t even really consider it an option or plausible. they have their curses and their imprisonments, but never do they kill, and anyways anyone who wants to kill someone never succeeds, so she has a bit of a warped idea of killing and death as a whole.

zzz= What time the character enjoys sleep or being awake

for her entire life darling has been kept on a strict sleeping regimen under the ‘early to bed, early to rise’ philosophy. she enjoys being awake in the morning simple because it’s what she’s used to, but darling has a secret enjoyment of midday naps and would be just fine sleeping through the morning. being awake in the late hours of the night has become a guilty pleasure as she uses that time to be off on her own and train.

she can find something enjoyable in most weather, honestly. soft spring days where the air is crisp but not too cold are probably her favorite, but she has a certain love for days where it’s storming. those days are so filled with dramatic potential, they’re rip for daydreaming of grand battles, and who can deny rain makes the perfect background noise to a good book.

darling prefers instrumental music over things with lyrics, especially intense kind that sounds like it could belong at the climax of a movie. music that makes her feel like she’s on an adventure, like it could be the sound track for her own daring heroics. she does also enjoy songs in foreign languages she doesnt know, all they all have an intriguing, unknown quality to them and captivate her more than things in her own language.
