Maymi Search, protagonist.
Hey guys!
I know it has been quiet on the blog, but we are still working on the game. It is just taking long because we have zero experience and we are in school.
Thanks for understanding.
Excerpt from Heroism
Maymi Search was racing time. With the party starting in just a few hours, the last thing she had wanted was a detour.
Especially if it included the clock tower. It loomed menacingly overhead, in grayscaled, like the rest of the BW District. The gears of its face was audible from where she stood, and the ticking causes her eyes to twitch.
In the hues of black and white, she dashed to the entrance. This time around she avoid conflict and strategically dodge the oozing rainbows that reached out for her. Once the bulking door of the tower was in her grasp, she grab the handles and pulled, only to find a familiar clicked resonated in her body.
The door was locked.
Maymi slammed her fist into the door wooden frame, her face flushed, her mind overpower by her infuriating bad luck. It occurred to her the Briggs mostly likely has the key, but if he was still aliveâŠ.wellâŠ
Maymi remember seeing him at the ballroom, overwhelmed and terrified. Crying about a thorn in his finger. She also clearly remember the monsters there, and how that don't seem like the kind who would spare him.
âYOU.â
Maymi jumped, startled by the sudden voice cutting through the air.
Speak of the devil himself.
Briggs was marching towards her, his fists clenched, but his body shaking.
âYou you you you you you you you,â Briggs stammered, â you said you were going to help me. You you you didnât.â His voice quivered as he accused her.
Maymi huffed. Unfortunately for Briggs, Maymi never practically liked him all that much. Everyone else who worked under her had a higher reason. Whether it was for revenge or paying off a costly debt, everyone she hired wanted something more.
Beside Briggs.
He just worked for her.
There was no deeper meaning to their relationship.
And she always hated that about him.
She never had any cards to use against him, and she never had too.
She never had to kill a loved one to prove a point to him, and she never would.
She never had to tell him the truth, and he never asked.
And so, Maymi tightened her gripped on her axe.
Dialogue Excerpt from Heroism
As Maymi approached the Grand Park, her heart beating fast, her legs shaking from the constant strain she had put upon them, she caught sight of a familiar, but certainly never forgotten face. His flaming hair reflected the light shining through the trees. His tall, slim figure towered over the potted shrubs. When she saw him, she couldn't help, but grimace. It wasn't surprising that when he caught sight of her he made the same ugly expression. âMaymi...I heard you were backâ The boy grumbled, his arms crossed and his eyes narrowed. âOf course. I am not done yet, M-â she stopped, unable to recall his name. âIt's Memay. Besides your story is over. Your ending has been given to you.â âIt doesn't matter. Anyways none of which I do is of your concern. Not anymore.â âYou can't actually believe that? Right?â Memay twirled a long strand of hair, âItâs done. Okay?â Maymi forced her tired body to continued forward, ignoring the boy for now. She couldn't allow her mission to be slowed down by him. âMaymi! Youâre done! You can't change this! Okay?" Maymi spun around to face him, her eyes lit up with her inner flames. âJust know this,â she bared her teeth, and pointed an accusatory finger at him, âMemay. Every story ends the same. Including mine, and including yours.â
Chapter One - Part One
It was a silent night. The girl, Kurina, was enjoying instant Ramen as she watched the stars from her creaky porch. It had been awhile since she was allowed to enjoy herself like this, but it appears as if the town itself was able to finally calm down.
The things that happen here was imprinted on the land for so long, she never thought everything would be alright.
But it looks like she was wrong.
She sat on her porch for hours, the stars glittering above her. In one hand she twirled the item between her fingers. Her mother gave them to her on her sixteenth birthday, and Kurina treasured it.
Her bliss was broken by the sound of a dog barking. She groaned, trying to ignore the animal. But there was another bark, and then another. Something got all of them worked up, a cat or perhaps a bear, maybe. No matter what it was, the girl decided the best idea was to go inside. She reach for the doorknob. Her fingers were grazing it when she froze. A long howl found its way through the barking and to her. It was unnatural and painful, and not like any animal she knew of. The sound itself caused tears to swell in her eyes.
It was a silent night. That is, until it wasnât.
Many reported a strange noise that night, but the real news was the Maymi Search was back from her âvacationâ.
PART TWO COMING SOON
WHO WAS THE CHILD THAT WAS BORN FROM THE FATHER DONATING SPEAR,
There has been nothing written about spears.
Heroism - Prologue
âSir, this is no laughing matter.â
The woman pursed her lips after every word. Her eye twitched repeatedly while speaking to the younger man. He ignored her and continue to scoffed down another burger. âSir, pay attention! This is for your childâs safety!â
He glanced up from his meal, his eyes lazily focusing on the tighty wound woman.
âYeah, listen ladyâ he said between fries, âthere really ainât nothing to worry about.â He drunk the cola from his cup intill he was sucking air through the straw.
âMy wife is gone. My son is too. I ainât got no other kid and I ainât gonna have one.â He gestured to the small girl playing in the corner. Her dark skin was covered in shades of rainbow from her paint-by-numbers kit. âShe is fine, ya here?â
The woman looked back and forth, unsure of what to say. After what felt like minutes, she finally replied.
âThat may be true, sir. But, the Madame has never been wrong on a prediction before! If she says something you need to take it to heart!â she stopped, catching her train of thought, âI implored you! Please do something!â
âThatâs it! Get out! I ainât got any other kids!â
âPlease I-â
He stood up from the table, spilling fries to the floor. The father began to reach for his trusty gun as he grew desperate to get the woman out of his home. She noticed his actions however, and began to make her way to the exit. As he slammed the door behind her, the little girl caught the sad, distraught look in her eyes.
Her father didnât have any more children though. After the incident, it was just him and her. Still, the womanâs words scared her, even if they couldnât come true. The Madame says your other child will kill your daughter Maymi and yourself. Not possible, Maymi knew that. She knew for certain her brother was dead after all, but she still remained bother by it. It caused her distress, though she didnât know way.
It wasnât intill late that night, covered by the darkness, that she awoke screaming with realization. Her father used to donate sperm.
The Girl
She is still laying on the table, as she has been for the last few hours. I feel like she will never get up, but the others, those damn others, insist that she will be joining us for the event tommorrow. I asked the others what was wrong with her, and they told be she was shot. Shot trying to protect her precious item, they said. She didn't look like she was shot though. There are no bullet holes or anything. She is laying on her back, gasping for air, seemingly unknowing what was going on around her. She doesn't look injured. She looks sick. I think the others were wrong about her getting up. I saw a snake eat her precious item. I wonder if she knows.

Maymi,
The clients in the Sequoia district have been showing odd symptoms to the new supply.
I strongly urge you to switch back.
Government officials are starting to get involved.
I don't want to have this conversation again.
