Time to get this active again! And myself. I walked this morning. We have great hills by our house to its a workout just to walk them. Slowly getting my body back 💪
YOU GUYS! I changed my tire today. Again, something I’ve been telling myself to do FOREVER! I’m so incredibly proud that I could do it! And luckily my lug nuts came off easily because I heard they can be a pain. Now I feel so much more confident traveling alone. Which I do, a lot. With 2 kids. If you haven’t done this and want to or never thought about it... get out there and do it! YOU GOT THIS
I went back and finished my welding project! Man I have a new appreciation for people who work in hot and humid environments... my mentor and step father teach a program at an instructional school. I’m very fortunate to have him and his shop to do this project. I showed him a picture and we talked about a plan. He showed me how to cut, clean, and mold the wire to do what I wanted. There’s a lot of prepping to this kinda work! I couldn’t stop because I wanted to see it done so bad! This challenge has taught me a pretty new skill and I already have 3 things I wanna do next
We were enjoying some seasonal roads until we drove upon someone’s nastiness. Our convoy stopped and we all lent a hand in picking up garbage bags full of drywall and some old tires along the route as well. Reminds me to take a moment to help our lands.
This woman in her little purple rubicon named Figment surprised me this last weekend. Someone who’s answer is always “ohh, idk if I’m ready” sat and owned her jeep and her husbands jeep! Broke her in the morning with a seasonal road run. She gracefully drove through 2 hours. She got back to BHM and I passed her driving her husbands grand Cherokee grinning and hooting and hollering asking if I saw the video. I found out that this lady just owned one of the hill climbs at the park. Just powered through and conquered something she never thought possible. And these are the moments we are here for 💚
Was a guide for our local Ladies Wheeling Weekend at BHM off-road. A friend runs an off-road park and I look forward to this event every year. Its how I got started 3 years ago. This year is by far the best year weather wise! The trails were awesome and we even ventured on some seasonal roads.
My favorite tool in my truck. Always able to start a fire in most cases any where, any time.
Today I did something I’ve been dying to do, learn to weld. Luckily my step dad is a welding instructor and has 30 something years in the field. Iearned a bit about the types of welds and how to use a MIG welder. I can’t wait to go back and learn more!
I love seeing fresh faces in the crowd. This lady just picked up her JKU is wasn’t afraid to show find out what it’s made of. Rocking it on her first trail ride! Takes me back to when I first started and reminds me how far I’ve come :)
I was out last weekend helping a friend get ready for the Ladies Wheeling Weekend coming up at BHM off-road test facility in McDonough NY. Trimming back some trails and making sure they’re clean for the event.
Challenge Three: complete!
Spotted being the spotter. Guiding my husband with our 2 kids towards the rock garden at BHM Off-road Test Faculity on Fathers Day. Built a fire and today was rain. Thank goodness it didn’t have to be started. And a little about my offroading style captured in the top photos. The good thing about rain is MUD! My favorite part about the afternoon was watching all the water get moved through the trails from my tires. The sounds of swooshing and swishing always makes me happy.
