what... I am Catholic and I don't see problems with any fictional stories such as Harry Potter because it is just that.. fiction.

I don't think it's right to guilt others over it either.

You are allowed to separate reality from TV, or any book or media. You aren't practicing any harm by enjoying them for just being entertaining.

Conviction does not equal guilt or shame.

Also, as Christians we are to guard our hearts and our minds. I’m not sure about Harry Potter because I’ve never watched it but for other fictional shows such as Vampire Diaries they were using real spells.

I was planning to watch Vampire Diaries but then I got a video on my feed of one of the producers, I believe, that was talking about how she looked up real witchcraft spells for the actors to recite.

This is just an example. Please be careful as Christian’s with what you consume. You may be opening the door to spirits, aside from spirits temptation and even sin. If you do not understand it now, you will eventually understand it. All of our walks with Jesus are different.

Thank you for this page. After you prayed for God to open doors for me and find a job, I prayed and fasted. God opened a completely random door for me and I am starting a semi dream job on July 18th. Even when I was not being faithful to God and thought I didn’t deserve it, He still provided for me. He is still pouring out blessings for me that I do not deserve. Thank you so much 🤍

Can I as a Christian watch Harry Potter?

To be honest, there’s a lot of things that Christians should not be watching or consuming because it may expose us to temptation, sin, and spirits. I 100% still struggle with this. I believe it is a matter of prayer, conviction, and asking for the guidance of the Spirit! I believe it’s also a matter of spiritual maturity, you may be called out of something while those around you haven’t reached that level.

But with you already asking the question, it sounds like you’ve been convicted about watching Harry Potter, now it’s time to take the next step and follow in obedience.
