I think, like most issues when it comes to Susie, this is entirely dependent on where in her life we're talking about, but as a rule of thumb i tend to stick with early fic pre-development Susie because i like to study her like a bug <33

I think she's somewhere in between - Susie picks her battles, but she picks them A LOT, especially on behalf of people she cares about. She can brush off an offence towards her (sometimes), but if someone acts in a way she disapproves of towards one of her friends, she's biting <33 likeee maybe a part of it is the feeling of 'i deserve it but they don't - i need to stick up for them to prove i deserve their love/friendship etc.' but she's not gonna think about that too hard!!

27- What does safety look like to them and when do they feel the most secure and safe

For Diana, safety is people. In particular with Dave and Jaspreet (aka her platonic soulmates), they provide a space in which to not be judged, and even if there is judgment, she can feel safe in the knowledge that they're not going anywhere regardless. Romantic love can feel too fragile - too easy for her to fuck up. Platonic love has been the most vital aspect of Diana's healing, and ultimately the thing that has helped her open up to other relationships

10- What do they depend on others for

Diana needs other people to feel human. She needs connection and she needs kindness to keep her out of her own head, but she won't ask for it. When she's alone, there's no proof that she can be good - she needs to see it reflected back at her through others, to see that her actions mean something and that she can have a positive impact if she tries

reading Johnny Cooper's biography & it starts out with a dedication to the originals and Reg Seekings in particular.

there's no mention of Reg again till page 34 and from then on its "Reg & I" this, "Reg & I" that. Johnny writes as if it's a given they're always together, noting specially when they are separated & why (injury, different teams or assignments). it's very sweet
