Hello to all my followers and friends on this amazing day! Today’s events have made a historic leap forward in the fight for LGBT equality. Now I wouldn’t normally do this but this is something that’s extremely important to Alex and I. As a lot of you know, littlekanae and I have been dating now for a long time and we’re hoping to get engaged soon. However, before we do that, we want to be able to be in a secure place on our own without any parents to hinder our progress. Alex and I are both transgender individuals and come from mostly unsupportive (his more so) parents. Alex’s mother is emotionally abusive to him and his siblings and his father and stepmother completely refuse to support him. He suffers from severe anxiety and depression, largely because of this. Alex is from New York, but is currently living with me at my parents’ house in Ohio. We’re trying our hardest to get him a job here, but the results so far haven’t been too great. We’re going to keep trying, but right now we really need help to get away from our parents and out of their houses. We aim to get a small apartment together and start our life together. I am working a part time job and am considering getting a second, but it’s just not enough in this day and age.
