How does one make pixel art? What do you make it in? I have things to make that I want to do as pixel art very badly

I started many years ago on pixilart, I only use aseprite now :> I usually begin with big blobs of color and refine them into details, or I make a high-resolution sketch, downscale it, and paint over it!

Your art is really pretty but saving pixel art as jpgs brings down the quality because of all the artifacts. You might want to consider saving as png or gif instead.

i always export it as a PNG. I usually just don’t post it in high resolution if it’s a commission or a wallpaper (high res is available on my ko-fi). but thanks for the advice! :)
