HI CUTIES. IâM BACK. AND IâM REALLY FUCKING SORRY FOR NOT POSTING FOR LIKE ALMOST A MONTH???
Please accept some fluff as an apology for basically falling off the face of the earth.
Pairings: Yamada Hizashi/Reader, Aizawa Shota/Reader
As the new Home Economics instructor, it was natural that you were always baking things at the school. Students would leave your lab, arms stuffed with breads and pastries they had made themselves. Some would say your class was their favorite, but for a variety of different reasons (most being a lack of having to do any form of math).
Your classroom was just off of Aizawaâs, so every time you held class, the smells of fresh bakery items and home cooking would waft through the door and inadvertently had his mouth drooling.
It became a bit of a bad habit of his to actually stop and inhale deeply whenever the smell of warm and buttery bread came through the door.
Sometimes students would bring extras they had made, and shared the spoils with him when he seemed to be staring.
At teacher meetings, you always brought heaping trays of goodies for everyone; muffins one day, little cheese tarts another day. He learned to love your cooking that way, even if it mostly sweets that could rot his teeth.
And your smell? Lord, he was scared you could visually see his breathing deepen whenever you were near.
Strawberry creme and sweet muffins. His mouth watered at your scent in a dangerously creepy way.
One day, as he was prepping for his next lesson plan and digging through the drawers of his desk, his hand almost smashed into a beautifully frosted cupcake.
Buttercream frosting, dusted with a glittering purple sugar. There was a handmade sugar candy stuck into the mountain of frosting, shaped like his hero suitâs goggles. He felt his cheeks burn, hand shooting for the little note tucked beneath the cupcake.
âAizawa, if you liked my sweets so much, why didnât you say so? Meet on the roof and I can give you moreâŠâ Your writing was delicate, initials written and followed with a small inked heart.
He didnât even eat the treat, just snagged it up and made a bee-line for the roof, trying to maintain that cool aura even as his face burned red and his heart hammered in his chest. He played it off as a result of his speed walking.
You were there already, of course. Simply waiting and staring out over the yard.Â
You didnât exactly jump when Aizawa opened the door to the roof, still red in the face and clutching your gift to him in his hand. But you werenât actually expecting him to show up, in all honesty. The more reserved man seemed the type to only be annoyed by small surprise gifts stuck in haphazard places.
Still, you were more than thankful, and gave him your own blushing smile, sure to hold your second surprise gift behind you.
âQuite a cliche meetup, donât you think?â Aizawa gives you a smile despite the tease, shuffling forward and lifting the cake in his hand. âI gotta say, this is pretty cute of you. A bit ironic, teaching in a highschool and pulling a stunt like this. Arenât we supposed to be the adults here?â
His blush is more than enough to egg you on. You smile up at him, âWho said it was wrong to want to be a little lovestruck kid again?â
Aizawa falters a bit and stumbles over his next words, unable to get anything out before youâre pushing a wrapped stack in his hands, deep black tissue closed with a little purple bow. You feel a little more childish than you wanted to, confession on the tip of your tongue. Maybe you should have been a bit more mature in your approach, but you wanted to show your feelings through your passion.
âI⊠I really like you, Aizawa.â You look away when he opens the gift, finding a stacked assortment of sugar cookies shaped like hearts. Three of them, each with a simple iced design spelled out individually on each cookie.
When youâre both past the embarrassment, and sharing treats together on the roof, he gives you a teasing grin. âI would be surprised if you liked me more than your little love for baking.â
It became a habit of him finding little love-themed goodies in his desk, and each one wouldnât hesitate to put a smile on his face.
New to the school, you had decided to bring your own thank you gift to the teachers and principal Nezu. Each of your coworkers received homemade treats and goodies, all made by your own hand.
The moment Mic bit into a mini cherry lemon pie, there were hearts in his eyes and angels singing in his ears.
Every day after, he asked you for more of your cooking, sometimes even going as far as to ask if you would let him over so he could taste the amazing dinner you were sure to make.
The students began to suspect you and Present Mic were a couple, and you were given the title of Mrs. Mic. You shook your head, face hot with a blush as you denied such a thing even as your heart raced a mile a minute. Mic, however, threw an arm around your shoulder to pull you in, nuzzling into your neck and howling with laughter. âAbsolutely, kiddos! This lovely little lady will henceforth be called Mrs. Mic, UAâs greatest baking teacher!â
âHizashi⊠Iâm a math teacher,â
After a while, his antics began to grow on you, to the point of being unable to be in the same meeting without feeling your heart pound. You started bringing more treats for him that you would spend hours making in your kitchen.
It started with little cookies, simple chocolate chip or sugar. Then things got grand; cupcakes, tarts, fudge. He asked you once if you could make Tiramisuâ you brought one in the very next day.
Mic got used to your desserts quickly, just the smell of them making his mouth water and his heart sing. Unfortunately for his other coworkers, his mouth would ALSO sing, pitch changing with every bite he took.
But one day, the treats changed style. Gravitating away from the simple and chic designs you would find in bakeries, your desserts youâd bring him started gaining a more âvalentine-likeâ approach. Sugared heart cookies, soft pink frostings and red colored cakes. Oblivious to it all, Mic continued to accept them with the brightest smile and the loudest thank you he could muster. He would never really notice your shy glances at him as he snacked away on your mountain of treats, how your thumbs would twiddle in your lap or how your blush reached to your ears.
Thatâs when he noticed a little note, stuck with frosting to the underside of a cookie. He saw it a bit late though, and ended up taking a bite out of the paper. He spits it out and wags his tongue, but his interest is piqued when he opens the paper and spots your smooth handwriting asking him to meet you on the roof.
He awed at the little note, but his heart suddenly swells with realization at what your little note was actually implying. With the cookie shoved into his mouth and crumbs over his hero suit, he booked it for the roof access.
You were there with an entire set up, table and chairs, a vase of yellow and white roses and plates. In the center of the table was a cake decorated to perfection and matching the colors of the flowers. You were there, shaking with nerves and giving a soft smile. Before you could utter a word, Mic was launching into your arms and lifting you off the ground, twirling you around as if you really were a couple.
If things go to plan, you two would be.
âSorry if this is childish or lameâŠâ Mic shakes at your shoulders the moment you look away shyly, smile beaming and heart racing.
âAre you kidding? This is super cute! Just like you, my little Mrs. Mic,â Like lightning, he zips for the table, eyes bugging at the cake you had made. The decorations were iced to look like music notes and headphones, colored in electric yellow. In bold words, there was âMic, you make my heart singâ in the center of the cake.
Heâs pretty sure heâs crying at this point.
You have to take the time to settle him down before you can even tear into the cake and share your little baked confession.
After that, Mic was attached to you at the hip, so you were lucky to get him off of you long enough to bake his endless requests for desserts.
Now it was just a matter of time to make your Mrs. Mic title official.
