Look, ik will went through enough shit all the seasons so far but you don't understand, I NEED mike to be faced with the fear of losing Will again. I basically need churchgate with william byers being vecnad.
I NEED him to understand that the fear of the consequences of loving will are never going to compare to what would mean for him to lose will AGAIN. For what would be at least the third time and final

Ofc will would as well, if mike was the one to be vecnad, but for me it hits differently. Because mike doesn't know what to do about will, or more specifically abt how his feelings for him. He doesn't like will, he loves him at this point
He has always been so protective of will, like, bruh cmon
And honestly, i want will to suffer because i want mike giving up, i want him tired and i want him unable to take this anymore. I want the walls he built around himself to CRUMBLE until they're only dust
He loves him, he cares for him, he already saw will's "body" being pulled out of the water in S1. He had to see his best friend go through hell with the mind flayer in S2. And in season 3, he sees him move to a place he can't easily reach with his bike
I need mike to be so high in adrenaline he can't think. I need him alone, to see will posessed, sobbing and screaming how he loves will without a milisecond of a proper thought, because he's alone and he just can't fail this time, and if he told eleven his life started when he met her, it was because his world had stopped the moment he realized will byers went missing (the same day the upside down is stuck in btw...) and she represented hope for mike to find will
I need time to fucking run again in the upside down when mike manages to get will out of his trance, because just like the upside down, mike is so stuck in that day, that memory, in that fear of losing the person he loves the most in the world, losing the best thing he ever had.
I need will to be vecnad because mike's world stopped when he thought he'd lost him. And then his world changed when the byers moved to california, home was not the same without will, and mike knows that.

will’s love for mike wasn’t reduced to a crush, Will reduced it to a crush, to make it easier for his friends. because, yeah, everyone has crushes, crushes are innocent, right? right
but what would happen if instead of ‘I had a crush on someone’, will had said ‘I was in love with someone’ and then followed it by ‘he’? questions would be asked. uncomfortable ones. and while will has come to terms with mike possibly figuring him out, he doesn’t want to be pitied. saying he’s in love would expose a lot more emotional pain and torture than saying he has a crush already did.
mike isn’t just a crush, will is just unwilling to show all of his cards like that. and honestly, good for him.
The thing abt byler queerbait that hurts so bad is that with other ships i've followed, if i remember well, most didn't have a CANON queer character.
Having this queer character go through hell and back and have to give up the love of his life like it was just a momentary crush (bcs OFC queer love can't be reciprocated in these cases!!!) hurt a bit too much. Feels wrong, feels really unfair, unjust.
Why does the "i'm not gonna fall in love"-boy has to give up on his love?
the duffer brothers are either going to pull through with a generational lock in of a finale or we all just fell for the century's biggest queerbait of all time
IM SO CONFUSED. where is the emotional weight that finn is carrying. where is the “it’ll pay off.” where is the hap-satisfied. where is it. where is it all i’m so confused. i’m confused and concerned.
I really want to believe there's like, a big plot twist in the one last episode but with how things are moving idk if i have much hope. Maybe it wAS just a shitty evil queerbait and this hurts so bad.
