last night it was you then it wasn't you, it was a darker haired boy than you again. we were tracing wall patterns with our hands, feeling for things and there was an entire art program inside those halls and a giant bell i rang with two hammers and a fire coming out of the wall i could feel it in the cold. it felt like eight years ago when mist came off the lake and i felt young and dumb and quiet and i felt praise for morning light and i woke up looking at my wildflowers that i stuffed into jars and i meditated i think, for the first time trying to recall the feelings i forgot about.
