Ichiran Ramen

Ichiran, known for its signature Hakata style tonkotsu ramen, is a ramen shop found all over Japan. What’s so special about the newly opened Ichiran in Ginza, is that there are autographs of ramen loving celebrities there!

Ginza Ichiran is unique in its own way, offering the best quality noodles made with top notch flour and broth, more sliced pork toppings than ever, and served in an expensive china bento box, unlike the bowls other shops use! It’s a little pricier than the usual shops though. 1180 yen for each serving.

You’ll find the autographs up on the staircase on your way into the store.

Choi Yena and her customized ramen order! Surprisingly she had her ramen without the spicy red paste. One on the right is HKT48 Sashihara Rino’s order sheet. You’ll also find members from seventeen, perfume, and so many more!

TeamLab Planets Tokyo

TeamLab Planets Tokyo is an interactive art museum produced by TeamLab, a project group of top designers, engineers and artists. You’ll see lots of pictures taken there on Instagram, it’s known to be one of the most photogenic places in Tokyo!

Yujin, Yena, Nako, Hyewon visited the museum after their Japan Debut Showcase in January. 190122 Yujinmail and 190126 Nakomail included some photos taken there in the atrium.

Visitors enter the venue barefoot to immerse themselves in the atmosphere. It’s not just visually satisfying, the music, the texture, the air and aroma, you’ll be making full use of all senses.

Harajuku

Only a station away from Shibuya, Harajuku is famous for its unique fashionistas and boutiques. The city holds one of the most busiest and crowded shopping streets - Takeshita Dori, the filming spot for IZONE’s japan single, Vampire.

Even Harajuku station itself is a piece of art, it’s the oldest wooden architecture currently in use in Tokyo. Unfortunately, the building will go through construction after 2020 Tokyo Olympics, so it’ll be the last chance to see the station looking like a Vampire mansion. I’m really not in favor of the new design :(

At first, we all thought this jacket was photoshopped. But Hiichan revealed in her 191002 mail that they actually had photoshoot there at dawn. She attached a selca taken in STYLENANDA store wearing her shoulder padded vampire outfit.

Just 10 min walk from Harajuku station down Omotesando street, you’ll find Cat Street, where parts from Neko ni Naritai MV was filmed. Surrounding buildings have gone under construction, so it may not look the same anymore. (Pic on right taken in 2019 Sep when I last visited)

There’s actually a good takoyaki shop, WARATAKO at catstreet. Who knows, Hyewon might’ve escaped from Gokigen Sayonara filming for this.

Access: 3 mins from Meiji Jingumae Station, exit 4. It might be easier to look for Luke’s Lobster since there isn’t much landmark.

Shibuya 109

In the heart of Tokyo, Shibuya109 is the center of teen culture and Japanese pop culture. For us wizones, it’s a place where izone had their pop up stores for each of their Japan releases.

Pop-up stores opened on the 8th floor (DISP!) for Sukito Iwasetai and Vampire, the basement floor (IMADA MARKET) for Buenos Aires. As for now, BTS will have their stores. The shops open on 8F and B1F change occassionally, varying from kpop to anime, almost anything, so please do check 109’s twitter, ig and official page.

Other floors consist almost entirely of fashion and cosmetics. IZONE members have been seen shopping here too!

If you’re tired of shopping, go to the second basement floor and see the spots where Nako took her 190620 instagram pics. “moreru mignon” offers a beautiful booth just for taking photos.

You can also take purikura stickers in the booths available there that make you look like this. I believe Hyewon had these kind of stickers on her iPad too.

IZ*ONE collab cafe was also managed by Shibuya109, except it was held in a different building. ‘MAGNET BY SHIBUYA 109′ is the complex for male fashion, another branch of 109 just opposite the main building. The 7th floor is full of food stalls and bubbletea stands, where they held collab cafes for sukito & BA.

It was fully renovated last year and the best feature is its rooftop, offering a view of the iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Sometimes the rooftop will serve as an event space, displaying artworks and such. Sukito collab in Feb 2019 displayed huge izone panels on the rooftop and colored the walls in 12 shades!

Tower Records Shibuya

A memorable place for wizones in Japan, Tower Records is the place where izone had numerous promotions for their Japan singles. Although there are many of these shops, Tower Records Shibuya would be the best and largest store to visit.

If you’re lucky enough to visit during their promotions, a huge panel and CD booth would be ready on the 1st floor of the huge store. This usually starts a day before the CD release and usually ends after a week or so. Printed mini flyers of IZONE would be given out per each purchase during the promotion too. You’ll see wizones looping the cashier to collect all members, since these flyers are given out at random.

And if you’re even luckier, you might get to see them in person. Try figuring out which day they’ll make a visit. They came on Feb 5th, 26th June, 26th Sep. See the pattern?

And don’t worry, even you visit the store after promotions, you’ll still see signed izone panels on the 5th floor. This was taken in November 2019. It’s always there! 5th floor is dedicated to KPOP, so you’ll see other gg bg and sometimes KPOP artists performing or having fansign there. You can also get hold of magazines, photobooks, and official merch there.

PS. Shibuya109 and Shibuya Tsutaya are also places izone went to, but there aren’t any signed panels there, unless you’re visiting during promotion period. Both stores are generally good for shopping though! Worth a look.

Hello, anyone who isn’t a wizone, please don’t bother reading this!

I’m a fangirl based in the outskirts of tokyo, and I’ve started this account to share some places international wizones might want to visit when they come to japan.

I’ve had quite a few people asking me to recommend some places. When I visited Seoul for the first time last week, I experienced some difficulties in a foreign country, and sought help from kind kwizones. So I thought about compiling some of the izone related places I’ve been to, here in Japan. Hopefully this page will be of some help to wizones planning a trip to tokyo!!
