All day long I have been sad over the horrible tragedies that occurred in Orlando this weekend and I've felt helpless, what can I do to make a change? I haven't figured it out yet but my favorite band, @youblewit has but up a benefit comp on their bandcamp (youblewit.bandcamp.com) to help raise money, and that is one small thing I can do to help. If you would like to donate and get some cool tunes in return, this is a pay-what-you-want comp, you can give as much or as little as you want, but every little bit helps. What do you guys think about the whole Parker Cannon kicking a fan off stage thing?

Violence of that degree is sickening and embarrassing for the entire music community. I’m disgusted he chose to react that way and even more surprised that no one on their end has issued any sort of statement or apology. I think it’s also pretty crazy how many people are defending him by explaining “that’s how shows are”. It’s like, WHAT? So dumb. Yeah, fans shouldn’t be standing up on the stage like that, but they most certainly do not deserve to be treated so harshly or abusively.
