The Blackwater Saga was released in Spain a few months back (I'm not sure if the books were published here before, I think this is the first time) and the edition is so effing gorgeous I'm *obsessed*. Only have two for now, they're six... I'll get there.

I think they're using the same covers in France and Italy, too. The design is amazing, really. And the golden detailsssss (I'm secretly a crow in disguise, drawn to anything shiny)!

man I wish Michael Mcdowell’s Blackwater saga were more popular — there doesn’t seem to be that many fan work or analyses of it which is always a shame. He had such a beautiful way of establishing atmosphere and really makes you feel like you’re living in the moment with the characters. (his book the Elementals is also insanely good at this, im so envious of his style)

I’m only halfway through book 1 (the flood) and I’d die for elinor dammert, a gaslight/gatekeep/girlboss of the highest caliber.
