As soon as both of their children were in their crib, he wrapped an arm around Jude’s waist and pulled her close, resting the side of his face on to the top of her head. He could smell the spit up and milk on her but it didn’t bug him. She was still perfect to him. “Nope, no other plans. It’s just you and me tonight,” he whispered, kissing the top of her head. As much as he liked having alone time with Jude, he did really miss having his best friend around. Alex was keeping to himself more and more these days and it was starting to worry him. As he rubbed gentle circles on her hip bone, he looked at her and said, “You go enjoy your shower. I’ll set up a movie or something in the bedroom. How does that sound?”

"Surprise, surprise." Jude replied sarcastically, resting her own head against the column of her boyfriend's neck if only for a moment. She took little solace in the physical contact, wondering if it would be the last time in the next week that they touched. "A movie? Yeah...that sounds nice. Mind putting on Love, Actually? I've had a hankerin to watch it but with the kids..." She trailed off when she pulled away from him. "Or whatever you want to watch. I'm going to go shower, won't be long." Leaning up she kissed his cheek lightly before exiting the room with a sigh of exhaustion.

[Emily felt in confidence to talk about her family and her past. She didn’t have to say all, but she missed them and that was an opportunity.] My family dedicated his entire life to tea. We had a tea shop in Paris, my city. We had almost 200 years selling tea, but more than that, giving the opportunity to have a place where you can find peace. I came here with that idea, to continue what my family built long time ago. And about coffee, I believe is just different. One cup of coffee is energy, and has properties too. But… I just love tea.

[Jude enjoyed hearing the lives of other people, it calmed her in a way that talking about her own didn't. Emily proved to be quite the character regardless and hearing about anything from her, interested Jude.] Is your family still in Paris? [She asked it politely, her own parents dead and buried, she didn't wish to dampen the woman's spirit.]

"Really? Well, thanks Jude! I am so excited to meet them. You can’t really blame the little munchkins. I think they deserve all the attention," she said, chuckling softly. "I love painting. And the arts. Music, dance, drama. All that good stuff. I don’t suppose the town has anything I can do with that?"

"You and them both," Jude chuckled back. The twins were proving to be more of a nuisance than anything but still she loved them. "The arts..." She pondered it all for a moment, going back to what she had seen or heard over the past few days. "Well there is an Arts and Crafts store in need of a cashier...the REC Center does painting classes for the elderly on Friday afternoons if you're up for that, then of course, you could always talk to Henry, he usually has some side project going at all times."

"You’re right. But not close enough for a Scot." she said shaking her head scrunching her nose in false indignation as if being called anything but Scottish was the biggest of insults. "Well we’ll just need to prove we need him but we don’t need him to do every bloody thing." she said. She smiled and wrapped her arm around the woman’s shoulder. "I’m glad you see us as family Jude." she said brightly. "Cause you’r totally the big sister I always wanted to have."

"At least you never have to worry about being called an imbecile. Some people think just because Southerner's talk slower than most it means we lack education. I swear it's just the heat, you try talkin' fast when it's in the nineties and the humidity is so thick you could cut off a slice of air and eat it for breakfast." Jude laughed, thankful that she was still able to. When Abigail moved an arm around her she was quick to return the gesture, happy to have it. "I hear you... You're glad about that eh?" She couldn't help but snort at hearing she was the big sister, she hadn't thought she was a very good little sister so why not try her hand at being the eldest. What was the worst that could happen? "It would be an honor, you're the little sister I've never wanted." The tease was too easy to resist but it was accompanied by a playful squeeze and a smile.

Slowly Chris stood up and held out his free hand for Jude to take. “Let’s put this two to bed.” After helping her to her feet he led the way to the nursery where he gently laid Oliver down in the crib, swaddling his blue blanket around him.

Jude laid Emma close to her brother. At least they could save money with only one crib...for now. A sigh came from her lips as she watched them, instantly curling for one another and it almost made her day worth it. "I think I'm gonna go shower." She spoke offhandedly, able to smell only spit up, baby powder, and milk on herself and she wasn't ever going to lie and say she enjoyed smelling that way. Like some used wet-wipe. "Did you have any other plans for the evening that I should be aware of? Alex stopping by or anything." The dark-haired man had earned enough to buy himself a small flat nearby but still spent most of his time at the house, locked away in his room.

Samantha nodded her head, looking back over at her friend. “Good, cause I’d kill him if he did. I wouldn’t put it past him but for now, he thinks I’m human much like he thinks you are.” There was a small smile on her lips as she heard what her friend said. They were a family and Samantha was glad to be apart of it. “Awe, thank you, baby.” Hearing her next statement, she looked over at Jude. “What?! How?”

"We have to stick together through this, Sam. I'm sick and tired of playing the part of the damsel. I want to kick ass again." When she spoke, Jude's hands clenched into fists of irritation. She hated being forced to stay home, waiting hand and foot on children she never expected. But that was her life now and she would have to cope. "I don't know, bastard just started talking about it to me. After he insinuated that I was fat of course. I should have given him a nice shiner to go with that predatory grin he has. I haven't had the chance to bring it up to Chris though...you don't think he's in danger do you? Actually, scratch that, how stupid am I for asking. Crazed hunter getting close with an Alpha. That bastard is dead next time I see him."

"Yeah..that I am. I wont deny that one." Gabriel shrugged a little bit, it didn’t bother him at all. "No..that wasn’t what I was trying to do. Just merely pointing out what he is and wondering if he actually told you. Sometimes like to hide what they are." He said this, looking back at her still. "But if he did tell you then he is an honest man."

Jude continued to distrust the man, there was something about him that read snake. She'd seen too many men like that in her life and he wasn't turning out to be much different. Mentally she made note to talk to Chris after this, to ask him about the 'notable Gabriel O'Connor'. "And you, are you an honest man." Somehow she didn't expect the truth.

So here is the first draft of the project I’ve been spending all my time on! It’s just in muslin at the moment but the final will have a bunch of color.

Just in case anyone was wondering, I had to make all the pattern pieces from scratch for a grade so this is completely an original design, pulling inspiration from Norse Mythology and the overall Norse culture. Yes, this is a snapchat because my professor walked in and chewed me out for having my phone on so I didn’t get a chance to take another but whatever, I’m kind of proud of it.

Chris shrugged, still bouncing Oliver in his arms. “He told me he wants a fresh start, and I can understand that. No place better than a small town like this.” With his free arm he pulled her in, bringing his family together in his arms. “I think they’re asleep,” he whispered, looking between the two babies.

"Just be careful, not everyone is as innocent as they come off to be, Chris." Jude bit her lip lightly, checking to see if he was right about about their kids sleeping. "Guess that gives us some alone time..."

"British mostly. Once someone asked if I was United Kingdomish." she said shaking her head. "I asked them if they wanted to join my class and they weren’t pleased." she said with a small giggle. "Some place neds to be a safe haven." she said softly shaking her head at thoughtss of her alpha. "He really doesn’t need to take on as much as he does. His pack is always willing to help him." she said with a sigh.

"United Kingdomish?" Jude laughed, shaking her head at the ignorance of some people. "At least that one was sort of close-ish." Upon hearing Abigail's joke she laughed a little harder, endlessly amused. But as the conversation continued she quieted. "Yeah, you see my point. Honestly, I think he's afraid of people not needing him. But you, all of you, you're family and I feel so honored to get to be around you whenever you should choose to stop by."

Oh my gosh. ((She said, shaking her head and holding Emma more closely to her. Daisy didn’t want anything to happen to the baby while she was holding her.)) One of my little ones got into some candy yesterday. It was, um…Difficult. ((She said before laughing aloud.)) He kept running around in circles and trying to eat the crayons.

He didn't! [Jude couldn't help but laugh at the antics of Daisy's little students.] To be a fly on the wall in that classroom, I swear Daisy, you always have the best stories.

"I can never have too much Jude in my life," he said, leaning over and giving her a soft kiss. After the kiss ended he looked down at Oliver and gently bounced him in his arms. "Well, he seems like he’ll be quite the asset here at Ozarka. I’m just shocked he chose to move to this small town and not somewhere more busy."

"You better go knock on some wood for that comment." Jude chuckled but returned his affections easily. "Yeah....There's something that doesn't smell right about that. Why pick here of all places?" She pondered the fact as she looked back down at Emma, running her fingers through her daughters blonde locks, soft and curling. "I've missed having you around here too, though."

Rosie giggled softly. The thought of two little Jude munchkins running around was adorable. “Well, I hope I’ll be able to meet them sometime,” she said with a nod. She was sucker for babies. Everyone was. “I don’t have a job. I don’t really… do work.” She shrugged. “I would like something to do and if it means a job then… so be it. But I prefer it be something I love doing and am happy to do.”

"You can darn near come over whenever you like, Rosie. Honestly, just swing by one day if you want to see them. Little devils love attention." Jude chuckled at her own statement, moving on to nod at Rosie's. "Well what are you happy to do? Maybe I can help you find some sort of activity?"

I am not sure if is because I am French. I know some of my compatriots don’t care about nothing. [Emily sighed. Her bond with nature is something important in her life. Is amazing find someone who cares.] Isn’t a problem! Of course I want to do it. The tea shop… is sort of tradition. The idea isn’t sell tea. I want people feel welcomed here. And have usual customers is part of the plan. You can drink your coffee for your work, and come here to drink tea, just for you.

A tradition? [Jude asked, instantly curious and intrigued by the idea of a shop being a tradition. Listening to the other woman speak about her teas, it was easy for Jude to see how much she cared for such a thing, the love evident in her eyes. She loved to hear about people's passions.] Or maybe I'll just kick the coffee habit all together, I hear it's really not good for you and well...I'm trying to do things that are good for me now that I have a family.

"Right..of course cause you are the expect in former military." He couldn’t suppress the eye roll that came. "Again, you know nothing about me, officer. Of course I don’t have a problem with what he is.” It was a lie but he was damn good at lying.

"No but I am an expert in spotting a pompous asshole when I see one." Jude shot back, no longer striving for being polite to the man. "No? Then why bring it up as if you were trying to nonchalantly threaten me or him." Her eyes narrowed just a hint, distrusting him instantly.

"No not really. I mean it was a building that was empty while I was growing up." Samantha chuckled a little bit, shaking her head. But that stopped when she heard Jude mention Gabe’s name. "Yeah, Gabriel." Seeing the frown, that concerned the blonde as she looked over at her friend. "New meat, got it. If we want we can go back to my bar and I can get that cooking for us." Watching her head raise her shoulders. "O’Connor. Gabriel O’Connor. Why? Jude did he threaten you or something? Cause I swear to god if he threaten you or the babies, I’ll rip his head off myself."

Jude shook her head a few times, leaning closer towards her friend. "No, no he hasn't threatened me. Why? You think he would?" Only the smallest of smiles graced her lips then. "You'd have to get in line because I would murder him brutally if he touches even a hair on my family's head and that includes you." She breathed deeply then, shaking her head once more. "He knows Chris is a werewolf."
