BTAS Riddlehat thoughts ive been having?
ok this is not gonna be coherent but like:
Edward being everything enjoys about wonderland but as a person. the riddles, the wordplay, the games, the whimsy, being finely dressed, being nonsensical….even outside of wonderland stuff hes intelligent, great with technology, someone who values and appreciates the mind…Jervis's specialty
someone who would also 100% appreciate Jervis's more eccentric gestures of affection
and on Edwards side of things, god the brilliance of Jervis's tech…listen riddler stole that vr game from the government and likely modified it but jervis BUILT THAT DREAM MACHINE HIMSELF!! and i know Edward was like "OH?" when he found that out. Someone else who's technologically brilliant?? who enjoys his riddles and playing games?? Who's clever and cunning?? WHO BATMAN HIMSELF REFERRED TO AS BEING BRILLIANT??
and i saw this post where in the comments it was mentioned that a lot of eddies canonical partners have been the dominant type and well. Jervis is the mind control guy. Not that he would ever mind control edward, goodness no, (i will elaborate in another post if this get enough attention maybe) but what im saying is post-MAAH/PTD jervis seems to have gained some confidence lol (see Trial and Worry Men) YALL GET WHAT IM SAYING RIGHT-
also this part probably comes from me getting on the riddlehat train from the idea of them reforming together but lord...them helping/supporting each other through their issues....eddie helping jervis with his confidence (bc hes been like repressed for like several decades of his life) and jervis loving edward even when he isnt ""perfect"" or trying to help with his compulsions im just 🥺
plus ive been imagining a possible crazy slowburn...OUUGHGHG
ive even been thinking of a post-reform au with jervis owning the clothing shop and edward doing his PI detective work BC I FOUND OUT THAT PI RIDDLER WAS ALSO PAUL DINI??? but just hjdaasdjaasljhdsda-
