and the PROBLEM IS. the PROBLEM is that with other art blocks I can tell myself. oh it’s hard now but time will pass and I will heal from whatever mental or emotional block that’s causing this eventually. but WORK? A Forever Problem. There is no waiting-out Job. Having Job is eternal. Time does not heal Being At Work. Sand is always in our eyes forever

A living doll. Original Character.

A messy painting I've been working on and off since January. I had no intentions of rendering anything besides the face. I wanted it to have sort of dingy, dirty, unpolished look to it. I'm happy with the subtle uncomfortable feeling I managed to carve out here! Less contrast heavy version under the cut!

I want to talk about what's going on here, but it's one of those massive spoilers in case I ever get around to publishing this as a story. It's not as sexual as it appears, although I did use that imagery as a shorthand for being used.

You as the observer know he's a fully sentient robot because you're reading a story about sentient fictional robots, but to everyone else he's just a really advanced walking toy. I like it when the horror story starts being horrific from the supposed monster's side, and I want this one to be a constant living nightmare for the bots.

Wip, because I dig the messy face, and the the original reference/inspiration I found online. As always, feel free to interpret it however you want!

Not forcing myself to do full renders is really helping me with not putting too many expectations on myself as an artist right now (at a time when I can't commit too much time to it).

I love that the DCA community is still alive and well and we haven't fucking moved on from this ugly character. Hope we're still here ten years into the future. I'll open the game and kick their stupid little cylinders for them to clean up in your honour, dca friends. Clean up clean up indeed

Glad to see this resonated with so many of you, and that for many the community helped them through hard times (still does really, looking at fanart, reading fics, etc really cheers me up as well).

It's not coming across as rude, don't worry. If anything it makes me really sad I haven't continued it lmao

I did not abandon it. It's just that shortly after posting the first chapter, I got a medical thing done. And then I started a full time job. And for some reason that slogged out my energy to keep up with the fic on top of my original projects (which I'm currently not sharing online. They are taking a considerable amount of my creative thinking/problem solving time).

But! I am still working on it! I have scenes written for later chapters too. The fic grew a bit, and I'm counting on it actually being around 5/6 chapters rather than the original 3/4 (each chapter around 10 to 20k words).

All the comments and encouragement you guys sent my way weren't for nothing, rest assured. I will finish it. And thank you for the ask! It was nice to know someone cared enough about my little sun x moon fic to go on my tumblr about it <3

Little (non plot) spoilers as a compensation gift for the lack of updates: there will be rooftop scenes, there's an asshole yet kinda hot foxy animatronic who Sun hates, and "Moondrop" is touchy (and a bit out if it) when mad.

I like to believe that Vanessa was occasionally placed as the Daycare Security Officer during day time, particularly on more difficult days.

Sun made her day harder by continuously pestering her.

This is how it's going. Followed immediately by Moon punching one of the street lights and turning it off before sitting down to ponder the toilet paper I gave him.

Earlier Moon decided to scare Sun, making Sun run home. I check up on Sun, Sun is fretting because he wants to befriend Moon and needs help figuring a topic. Both become buddies over Theatre. Canon much?

How is this being so game accurate? I was having an aneurysm at Sun asking for street lights due to the scary darkness and Moon turning that crap off immediately!!!!!!!
