Scout eyes dropped down to Nirvana’s legs and widened with excitement. “Holy guacamole! That’s so cool! How’d you do that? Do ya think you can do something with a butterfly on mine?”

“Just something my mom taught me.. she use to do this for my sister and I all the time and I just always loved it and it’s fun and cute.” The blonde smiled, nodding. She gestured to the blanket beside her, wanting Scout to take a seat so she could do hers. “Yeah, I totally can.”

Jude smiled softly, wishing that he could agree completely, but his relationship with his parents weren’t on good terms. He didn’t hate them–but it’s hard to hate someone he doesn’t even talk to. They got to the ice cream place and he opened the door for Nirvana to walk through before following in after her.

Nirvana sensed that Jude wasn’t up for talking about it anymore, so she just nodded and smiled, excited once they got to the ice cream place. “Thank you,” she smiled softly at the tall boy as he opened the door for her. She walked through before waiting for him to join her.

Scout arrived at the park, practically wearing as minimal clothing possible so she could be properly painted. She scanned the area, trying to spot Nirvana. Once so, she skipped over to the girl with an excited grin on her face. “I’m ready for my close-up!” She exclaimed, hand on her hip while on her tippy-toes.

Nirvana had already been at the park for the better part of an hour and had the color strokes going down her thigh and leg. Nirvana hadn’t really thought about inviting Scout, but realizing the girl would be into that, she felt kind of silly for not doing so. Jude hummed when she finished speaking, indicating that he was listening. “No, yeah… it totally sucks. But I dunno, for me, looking back on it, I’m glad I wasn’t attached to my parents 24/7.”

“I’ve always been close to my parents. I mean, I know that a lot of people aren’t.. and most teens and stuff aren’t super close or attached to their parents. But.. I didn’t mind it. I have cool parents though,” she giggled, looking over at him.

“Sort of? I mean, as close as the youngest child and their father could be before my younger brother and sisters were born. We weren’t tight, but… I dunno. It’s.. I dunno.”
