I’m on my phone so I can’t find my GoFundMe post BUT we were finally approved for a unit!

TL;DR my grandfather informed us last minute that he would be moving out of our apartment (changed his mind and decided he’d be moving back to Mexico) so my brother and I have been desperately scrambling to try and apply to places that were within our budget and that had availabilities ASAP. We’ve been staying with our aunt and uncle but you know when your stay’s been too long.

We have most of the moving expenses covered and the security deposit but the property’s expecting first months rent (which we planned for but my car decided to need a new battery and brakes and completely killed me in the process). I love my car but if my job wasn’t as a case manager I’d have left it for a later time.

We need $2,100 to have everything ready for move-in (which is next Friday)!! The total amount is double that and I had to lay down when I got the breakdown but god these property managements take you for everything you got and still expect your soul.

Thank you to everyone who’s shared and donated! I’m sorry for the amount of times you’ve seen this on your TL (so very sorry) but I’m really struggling to get to the home stretch.

I’m at $650/$2,200 which is insane and I’m so grateful and this is more than I imagined lmao. I have until Friday to get to that goal and I know I’ll figure something out and hopefully help comes my way from this too. I don’t mean to sound ungrateful I’m just scared(?) that this can be taken away. Is that my mental illness talking? Yes, of course 😭
