Farewell to the future of Playstation.
Here is a throwback to September 2, 2022
One of the coolest, happiest days of my gaming life 🩵 When I got my PS5! At the time, it was a nightmare to even get one. They were constantly sold out, and scalpers would buy them all. I felt quite accomplished that I was able to get one at MSRP and I didn’t have to buy from a scalper. I was also so happy I was able to afford it. Thanks to everyone who supports me on OnlyFans! It's a big deal to me. I never had Playstation consoles growing up, it was always Nintendo. And to be fair, I didn't want to play the majority of Playstation games. Every now and then there would be one I saw that I was interested in, but I saw Playstation and Xbox as more of the gorey, violent, realistic, boring games. And Nintendo was imaginative, wonderful, cute, fun, the best soundtracks, the most replayability. Everything I loved about gaming was on Nintendo consoles. Only a few PC games I've been really into, Minecraft, Portal 1 & 2, TF2, and Overwatch. (I need a gaming PC next. That is a goal/dream of mine.) Now there are a lot of Playstation games I love and I have good memories playing them and streaming some of them on Twitch. I still am not a fan of super violent games that are gorey. I am okay with some violence in videogames. There is just a line for me, as someone who is an empath, a vegan, a sensitive person, I don't want to see blood or scary horror stuff. I've been evolving more into spirituality and I can't tolerate seeing much violent media anymore. So yes, I still favor Nintendo as the best gaming company. However, I love me some Playstation games. Klonoa remakes, Astro Bot/Astro's Playroom, Final Fantasy VII Remake Integrade, Kingdom Hearts (I'M STUCK ON THE FIRST ONE STILL...) Project Diva, and many more cool games.
I've seen the news about Sony no longer producing physical discs. This is a horrible decision that will kill the Playstation brand. It's sad to see Playstation die so suddenly. I am concerned that we will have to quickly buy the games we want before they become even more expensive because of scarcity. Very anti consumer, anti gamer, anti collector, anti culture, anti game preservation. We need physical media to preserve games. We like to own the games we buy. We like to have the physical object because we like to collect things we love. And the right to play the game at any time. When you buy a game it should never be subjected to a company deciding whether or not you can play it and whether it will exist anymore.
My PS5 ran out of storage a long time ago. There is not enough storage on earth for a gamer to utilize a digital only console. Only if you are a casual gamer. Storage is also extremely expensive. You can fit quite a large amount of data on discs.
I mistakenly bought external storage instead of internal storage expansion and I can't play the games on it without moving them to the console. When the console storage is full, I can't do that. So it didn't help. I need some terabytes of internal storage I can actually play the games off of. And this is with the majority of my games being on physical discs. I do of course have some digital games. I'm not against that but I don't prefer that.
I will share photos of my Playstation physical game collection as of now in another post. Before I got my PS5 I had started buying games I wanted to play on it in preparation, so when it came, I had tons of games to play!
I will say I don't like the PS5 controller, it's way too big, the thumbsticks are hard to reach. I prefer the Xbox controller and the switch pro controller.
Also, last note. I have chronic pain in my hands, and EMF sensitivity. I believe the majority of the pain and loss of function is due to man made EMF mostly coming from wireless devices like my iPHONE being the worst culprit. And videogame controllers, as well as my mouse and keyboard which are wired yet still emit EMF. So I have to limit the amount of time I game. And I don't game very often anymore. It's very sad. The controller starts to hurt my hands (which are always hurting anyways) It makes it worse. It's not the physical motion of moving my fingers or the position they're in, it's the microwave radiation coming from it. I don't have arthritis, I don't have carpal tunnel, I've already been tested for this. I have lived with chronic pain in my hands since 2018. It is a daily struggle. These days I consume more gaming content via watching YouTube than actually playing games. But I kind of got sick of just watching people play games, after I had an awakening after influenza type B tried to kill me, I felt like youtubers who talk about games were just trying to monopolize my time and attention and emotional energy and they don't give a shit about me and I don't give a shit what they think about games because all that matters is my own experience of actually playing it. I'm sick of youtubers (especially Nintendo youtubers) making click bait videos with click bait thumbnails and titles about games that don't exist but they swear are in the works and going to be announced in a month. It's just exhausting, I can't stand liars. And I don't care if you don't like Sonic. It's one of my favorite gaming franchises. It's one of THEE GREATEST of all time. Shove that poor taste where the sun don't shine, Sonic haters.
