Tübingen is a traditional university town in Baden-Württemberg, Southwestern Germany, 30 km from Stuttgart at the Neckar and Ammer rivers. 1 in 3 people living here is a university student. Just north of the city lies a densely wooded nature park. The hills of the Swabian Alb are nearby, and large parts of the city are hilly. The area was probably first settled in 12 BC. The Romans left some traces here in 85 AD, when they built a Limes frontier wall by the river. The town itself dates from the 6th/7th century, when the region was populated by the Alamanni. Life in the city is dominated by its 25,800 uni students. Tübingen is best described as a mix of old and distinguished academic flair (including liberal and green politics on the one hand and traditional German student fraternities on the other), with rural-agricultural environs, shaped by typical Lutheran-Pietist characteristics, such as austerity and a Protestant work ethic, along with traditional Swabian elements, such as frugality, order, and tidiness. The city is home to many picturesque buildings from previous centuries.

Also kommen Sie vorbei im Innenhof zwischen Bau 1 und Bau 3 und ganz wichtig: Tasse nicht vergessen! Es gibt Kaffee nur so lange der Vorrat reicht, also nicht verpassen!
