My Rick OC!

This Rick is part of @chanceofwhat 's fanon organization, the Morty Protective Services (CPS but for Morties). He's essentially the guy MPS calls when a Rick is being particularly violent and refuses to let their Morty leave. The goal of those particular Morty extractions is to incapacitate the Rick long enough for the Morty to flee with MPS, but there are times when lethal force against said Rick is necessary or the Rick escapes with their Morty and Rick Hunter Rick (or RH, as I like to call him) has to track them down and bring Morty to safety.

Despite being part of the MPS, RH isn't the most warm of Ricks. He used to be an abusive Rick and drove his own Morty to suicide, leaving him to promise to never let a Rick hurt another Morty ever again (including himself). Because of this, he does his best to keep emotional distance from the Morties housed at MPS. Despite his best efforts, the Morties he's saved have given him the moniker "Big Brother Rick". Other Ricks call him RH or Hunter.

In his spare time he goes to therapy (not in his home universe, he's promised never to step foot back in SM-4515 ever again because he doesnt want to risk hurting the rest of the family) and attends AA. He sometimes still struggles with alcohol and on the days he wants to drink he tends to go out on his own to check up on Ricks high on MPS's priority list just to beat the shit out of them (he makes sure their Morties aren't present, he doesn't want to risk their safety). On days he does relapse he holes himself up far away from the MPS (sometimes a bar, sometimes a particularly fucked up part of the multiverse (sometimes he hopes to get beaten up), he's a very sad drunk).

Anyways thank you @chanceofwhat for letting me make a little guy for your thing! I genuinely love the concept and I love your AO3 work. I hope you like RH as much as I do!

Being in more fandoms as I've gotten older has made me realize the transformers fandom is such a gift. There are no massive shipping wars. Everyone ships everything and even rarepairs get their time to shine. Crackships only stay crackships if you let them. There are no true taboos in shipping. There are no canonical familial structures and age truly doesn't matter because everyone is "born" as an adult anyways. People often give newer artists their chance. Even if you aren't the best at drawing or writing you will find those who love your work and will interact with it regardless of skill. You will find your community in this fandom and because we are all freaks you will belong someway or another.

I had a LOT of fun with this. I absolutely love IDW's design and i very much enjoyed puzzling out how he'd look carrying. I know a lot of mechpreg artists like the belly and others don't, so I took from both (because I'm a fan of both) and made it so he gets a lot bulkier during his carry, first his chassis to protect both his and the newspark, and then after descent his tum accumulates a lot more plating to protect the growing sparkling (yes I wanted to give him a dad bod yall know he deserves it)

Yall've probably noticed that he's tense here, and that's because I headcanon that IDW OP's pregnancy would be wildly complicated and uncomfortable.

We all know that in IDW Optimus' spark chamber was surgically altered to accommodate the matrix right?? Well I think that would prove to cause a lot of complications while carrying. Because of said alterations, the newspark would have trouble growing and gathering enough energy from Optimus' spark, resulting in early term high risk of miscarriage. For the same reason, descent would also be terribly complicated because his body would have to work extra hard to allow room for the spark to travel downwards to his forge.

The latter part of his carriage would simply be exhausting because of early term complications and how much energy his body both consumes on a daily basis and for the sparkling. I think he'd just be tired and achy all the time and would generally just feel like shit. Personally, though, I don't think he'd show his discomfort. He'd do his best to hide it to keep others from worrying. So I think he'd use his hands to release the discomfort and probably bite his tongue to keep from groaning during sparkling movement.

Really, I just love the concept of OP having a hard pregnancy for the angst. You're welcome
