#Evil Bumbleson au - Shattered glass version of Calculated Love where everything goes badly and spirals into tragedy. (TW for medical/elder abuse, character death, violence.)

Hehe, thank you :] as for current lore I think of the trio as episodic antagonists with their mounding desperation to rid themselves of their organic half lead them to in more violent and dubious directions. Theraphos making drals with Lockdown, Blackarachnia dealing with the Decepticons, until it all culminates when Wasp gets on Earth and the trio has one final fight while the Autobots try to rescue/capture Wasp culminating in the warp energy splitting the team up. Leading them all to be alone and as a consequence regressing into their worst selves.
Also with all three of them being spiders it has a knock on effect on the Elite Guard being Rodimus Prime, Jazz and the jet twins while the repair team is Bumble Prime, Bulkhead, Ratchet, Prowl and Ironhide. Meanwhile the Decepticon command hasn’t changed since the end of the war with Blitzwing not a triple changer, though Shockwave still has his Longarm disguise from a deal Blackarachnia made behind the other’s back.

I love Dubstep so much, she is so damn cute and I really like how her design looks, you can see the inspo from both Jazz and Shockwave and that's awesome. Her with a japanese rhinoceros beetle because I think she'd find them interesting!
I may be stupid but: why is bumblebee avoiding Shockwave in the baby trap comic?
Now assuming yourself to be dumb because you don't get it is doing yourself a disservice. I didn't state it for a reason same as I don't have Jazz explain why he can't look at Shockwave. You just need to have the bravery to make your own conclusions about art.
Ur baby trap comic got me thinking about shattered glass and Bumble prime versions and how bt au would possibly react to their alternative selves
Well, to talk about their reactions we would first need to get into what sg!baby trap au would look like.
The things that would be different in sg!Baby trap au would be the carrier is Jazz who went back on his promise on taking a contraceptive because he was being spiteful and insecure. Resulting in Dubstep, who because of her appearance and blue optic forced Jazz out of his denial about Longarm being a Decepticon. Though instead of reporting this he just dropped her onto Longarm's doorstep and left. Shockwave having to raise Dubstep in secret in order to keep his identity secret.
Jazz and Shockwave still end up dying like they do in normal sg. Having Dubstep made things incredibly strained with Jazz dubbling down even harder to match Shockwave's pleading for him to stop. Then with the confrontation with Bumblebee even when Shockwave's reason to stay alive has increased he was still too grief struck to even attempt fighting back.
Dubstep, as it where, was present when both her parents died. In this verse she's incredibly withdrawn, attaching herself to Soundwave's side and having severe seperation anxiety whenever he tries to leave. After Shockwave's death she hasn't been able to speak, mostly shaking her head or nodding to communicate.
Goldbug doesn't actually know anything about her, Shockwave didn't tell him and Soundwave has done his best to hide her existence. Likely if Goldbug were to find out he'd try to kill her for being another thing that his father lied about, just a stain on the family portrait he wants to create.
So. Reactions. The ask. Well safe to say they're all horrified <3 Jazz is disgusted by himself that he would force Dubstep upon Shockwave like that, he still feels like he's not ready to be a dad but to do all that and leave? He hates knowing that a version of himself had the capacity to be so careless and sparkless.
Shockwave really looks down on his sg counterpart. Sg!Shockwave never really planned to have sparklings, it was just thrust upon him and he was left floundering. Not only that but he was also sentimental enough to be used and now had no chance of actually raising the sparklings he took in.
Dubstep pities her sg!self, despite sg!Dubstep being a lot older timeline wise she also went through so much as a child it's hard to move on from. Not to mention that she had very little control over the events of the story, a passive observer as her family tore itself apart.
For Bumblebee and Soundwave this whole thing is still a waking a nightmare they are very glad didn't happen in their universe.
Actually, now that the attack is done, I get to share a little bit of the stuff I did/didn't get to show off because it's my first blender attack. What can I say, I'm proud.
The final model ended up looking like this.
Fun fact! To get the pupils to move, they're actually completely separate from the eyes, and have their own bones and material. There's no way to get the eyes to actually close without altering the uv map itself.
Also, it didn't really show up in the final product itself, but there was a cute dither under the eyes I did so here it is :3
Shading pipeline for the main body was this. It's great because you get those sweet sweet self-produced texture points and nice shadows, and you get cool cell shadows too.
And as for the dumb thumbnail, this was the modus operandi for it

Was scrolling through your blog for the millionth time when I stumbled upon a mention of a human Blitzop AU? I am Very Interested in this but also I know it's art fight season and you have like a billion other things you're working on so if you wanna push answering this back awhile that's totally fine and I completely understand ._. 👍
Have this sketch of the vibe. Optimus is a part time fast food worker and gig mechanic, dropped out of uni after an Incident and has been trying to make something out of herself since there. Decided to help an injured person because she's Optimus and whoops, turns out it's a very bad woman <3
Enter Blitzwing, who works for the Decepticons (which I do not know how to characterize them yet, super villain group, mafia, evil organization tm). While Blitz doesn't really know what to think about the woman that saved him they are indebted to Optimus and so decide to not leave her alone until they can pay off that debt.
Thinking about it I think supervillain x civilian turned super hero would be a fun dynamic. That getting wrapped up in all this Optimus, and her gang of almost a mechanics company, unlock super powers which makes things go from kind of bad to way worse.
Hey, I just wanted to say that first found your blog through "this was supposed to be a fling", and that I've been a fan of both your blog and blitzop since then.
I adored your interpretation of optimus and blitzwing as well as the Rollercoaster of emotions the comic made me feel

Thank you so much!!! Honestly when I started the comic I was like “This is for an audience of 2 and me <3” and it was really surprising when people started to get really invested in it (even without knowing what TFA is sometimes!).
Really I’ve super happy seeing a bunch more fans for my little rarepair and I’m super honored my comic could convince ya :]
