storytime: I shifted to my dr and stayed there for a year 💌

hey everyone!! long time no see 🥲 I hope you guys are all doing well!! :D this is a long-ish storytime, so buckle in!!

also i heavily apologize for how much ill gush at bruce wayne during this.

summer recently started for me, and with this break I wanted to spend time in my drs.

I really wanted to go back to my superman dr, I had such a blast being a journalist.

so one morning, right after my semester ended, I shifted to my superman dr.

things were more or less the same, I really liked the routine but I loved the uncertainty of the stories I’d report on. it was like I was in my own little bubble.

I myself try to get juicy stories but other than the occasional celeb interview, I usually tend to focus my writing on the community, such as various events happening around town, where someone could find food and shelter, and where the recreational activities would be. unfortunately though I have come to learn that a lot of my writing is pushed towards the end of the papers, but that doesn’t stop me.

I got to know lois and cat more, which was really refreshing because clark is a YAPPER. I get distracted SO easily and whenever clark comes by my desk I know i’m going to have to listen to his voice and his voice only for 30 minutes straight. I love clark (platonically) but sometimes he just rambles on to whoever has ears.

speaking of lois and cat, we’ve all been hanging out more outside of work!! they’re so much fun to hang out with. we usually go to bars, grab some food and drinks and talk about who or what is bothering us at work.

I, surprisingly, spent a good chunk of my year there networking with bruce wayne. i’m guessing he really liked my interview of his. cat keeps teasing how he wants to do more than networking with me and every time she says that I have to roll my eyes (playfully ofc) because there are a handful of journalists that he likes and that he invites to events. but whenever I say that she sarcastically goes “mhm, sure.” like okay diva I know you run the gossip column but pls do not start a dating rumor with THEE bruce wayne on my behalf.

he is SUCH a great person though, always love talking to him. no matter the event he always makes his favorite journalists feel welcomed. one event I was a little lost in trying to find my seat and he put a gentle hand on my waist and guided me there. ngl it had me feeling like this:

I will not lie to you guys, I do have a tiiinyyy crush on bruce. that waist hold had me realizing things. BUT. i must keep it professional. or else he’s not gonna invite me to any other events. BUT. hear me out. what if he has a crush on me too that’s never gonna happen.

he really is such a charming guy, there’s these little things that he does whenever I go to events hosted by him. he personally sends me handwritten invitations, and delivers them to my front door instead of the office. whenever I come to the events he makes sure that i’m greeted personally by him and that i’m comfortable throughout the entire event. i’m on the shorter side so whenever I talk to him he always leans down and puts his ear close to my face. and whenever he replies back to me he speaks very softly in my ear while putting a gentle hand on my back. I blush every single time. 😞

so if you’re reading this right now and wondering how I know that bruce wayne is batman, clark kent is superman, etc. in this reality, but don’t know it in my dr, I kind of get déjà vu? I look at them and they seem familiar but I can’t ever really place it.

anyways, I digress, I just thought that’d be interesting to share.

in other personal news that happened, I downsized my apartment!! my previous apartment felt way too big for just one person, so I found a newly renovated apartment closer to the daily planet, and has all of my needs!!

as for major events, lex corp got into an environmental scandal, lex was experimenting on something in his building but there ended up being leaks and it smelt of sulfur for DAYS in metropolis. not to mention it was during the peak summer season and the weather was at its hottest. it smelled like someone just let it rip everytime you’d step outside. it was starting to harm the grass, trees, animals, and people. everyone had to start wearing masks and glasses because it would burn our noses and eyes. luckily superman helped distribute masks and helped contain the leaks.

I worked with lois on the paper and we had to run around town asking people for interviews and their insight. safe to say luthorcorp was having a pr crisis for the rest of the season.

in other major events, the justice league indicted new members. I didn’t get the honor of interviewing them but I did get to take a couple of photos from the event. when I tell you guys that these new members had fan accounts popping up everywhere, and my tiktok (yes there’s tiktok in my dr) fyp was filled with edits…yeah.

when fall rolled around, the daily planet had their own version of thanksgiving when the time came. because there were so many employees, we had to split different dates with different departments. I brought store bought pound cake to my department party, and perry brought the turkey (all of us were FEASTING)

surprisingly, this was a time when I would rarely get issues to write on. most of my time during the fall was spent working remotely. I had time to decorate my apartment for the upcoming holidays which was very therapeutic, and I’d work near my window while taking a sip of hot cocoa.

there wasn’t anything major going on with superman either. he mainly helped people who didn’t have any shelter find a warm place for the night.

fall + winter are my favorite seasons, so I was super excited to experience them in this dr. I mayyy have gone overboard with my decor but that’s what these seasons are about.

the girls (lois, cat, and I) had a gift exchange and got drinks at a local restaurant closer to the end of the year. I gave them both a personalized leather bound journal, candles, chocolate, and a gift card for certain chain restaurants around metropolis.

from cat I was gifted a scarf with one of those mug sets that come with cookies, hot cocoa, and mints. and from lois I had gotten a gift card to the movie theater, as well as a spa facial coupon.

on new years, I was invited to a wayne charity event so yk I had to go 🫣

but for most of that evening I just mingled with the other journalists and people there, as well as talk to bruce (again hehe). I left shortly after the clock striked midnight because I was in gotham and I was scared to stay out any later.

during spring everyone in metropolis suddenly remembered they had free will because why was I seeing superman flying up almost every single day. it would always be something new with metropolis. but it worked out for me because I got to work on superman papers with lois and clark 😝

I worked remote around half of spring because my allergies were so bad and any allergy medicine would instantly make me drowsy so I had no choice but to work from home. lots of zoom calls of me sneezing muted.

I eventually shifted back when it was mid-may in my dr. at this point i’ve missed my loved ones in my cr and wanted to see them again. but I was SO disoriented coming back to my cr i’ve genuinely never felt so disoriented in my life. it felt like I woke up from a nap thinking it was morning but it was actually nighttime. I had to stay in my room for a while because of it 😭

but anyways, that’s my storytime for now!! I have another dc dr (young justice) that I recently shifted to and i’ll give you guys a storytime on that as well soon enough!

for now, if anyone has any advice on how to approach bruce wayne the next time i shift to my superman dr, that would be greatly appreciated 😅

don’t try something as a result of something else “not working.” you made that assumption up. you can easily say something still worked even if it didn’t provide the shift (yet). but it’s the assumption that it didn’t and THEN trying to find a “solution” (to a problem you made up in your head) that keeps you in the loop.

this is a very sneaky way that your old assumptions stay the course. but hopefully i explained it succinctly enough and you can realize you don’t need to change anything about what you’re doing. it’s enough.

This is a very broad question with a lot of answers. Do teleportation and flying feel the same? What does breathing feel like to you? Would it have changed, if you ended up learning it later in life? Let's not forget, at the end of the day it comes down to your assumptions

Still, to share my experiences, I'll go over some things people in this reality might be able to grasp. Whenever I'm transparent and phase through solid matter, I can feel the presence of it around me. It is not a genuine physical sensation anywhere inside of me, it is merely there.

Telekinesis is another example of there being something close to awareness in regard of said power. When I would want to pull something towards me, I am able to feel potential resistance. Actually, a little similar to the times I've possessed objects which causes your sense of observation to shift or expand so to speak.

Then we have the obvious - fire, lightning, ice, all those usually cause some sort of sensation even when not actively harming you. Water is wet and in case you can grow / shrink on command perhaps consider scripting out growing pains

All the advice out there only works based on my assumption, right? This is why there are so many methods out there, cuz everyone assumes differently. So if a method didn't work for me doesn't mean I failed at it. There is no failure at all. It all boils down to one's thoughts and assumptions.

so what it does is try its best to convince you to redirect your attention to anything that makes you feel like the OR is something so heavy and insistent that you can’t get it off you. all so that you very quickly forget who you really are and what you’re capable of experiencing and go back into the limited OR self. BUT PLEASE

do not give into ego. ❌

it has a HUGE fear of the unknown. but here’s the secret… the only thing you can find in the unknown is more of YOU! the real you. you as awareness can change the focus point to anywhere in ‘All That Is’ because ‘All That Is’ is YOU.

i could say getting past this is the last hurdle but i don’t want you picturing some heavy difficult wall in your head. if anything, the wall is made of paper. this ‘final boss’ is basically Mushu when he faked that large shadow to try and trick Mulan into thinking he was a great big dragon. it’s a trick and not a very good one if you’re aware of it.

i’ve said here that you have to stop giving your mind the wheel. i’ve explained here who you really are. and in this post, i’m trying to explain to you that when you apply this stuff… when you actually manage to surrender and allow even for just a moment … someone will panic.

• someone will start showing you things in your OR to make you believe you need to stay and fix something.

• someone will tell you that you should give up in the middle of your attempt because it’s “not working” or “nothing is happening” or “i can still feel the OR”

• someone will tell you to tell you to do more research or try new methods or script more.

• someone will try to make sure you get on whatever app keeps you scrolling and scrolling without end. (i’m looking at you tumblr, pinterest, tiktok etc)

• someone will tell you you’re doing something wrong, it’s not working and you’re stuck here because you don’t remember ever being able to ‘leave’.

all of this conveniently screams OR OR OR. so who must it be vowing for your attention?

is the someone you? no. it’s ego. but it’s not YOU.

so how you do make it stop? how do you make it go away? how do you kill ego? you don’t.

you can’t force it away. the ‘threat’ isn’t real anyway. that’s the point. if you push something away… where are you pushing it away to? there’s no “out there”. there’s only now. so all you’re doing is creating resistance which just puts even more focus on it. You’re feeding it and making sure it survives longer than it needs to.

so treat it with indifference. treat it with complete and utter acceptance. it doesn’t have any effect if you don’t give it the power, i promise. but don’t villainise it because it’s doing it’s job. treat it with a love that says “yes, i accept you but i am not you”. but you don’t actually have to say the words, just ignore it because it’s just not you.

don’t misunderstand, i’m not telling you you’re doing anything wrong. make all those posts about missing your s/o or how much you hate your OR, that’s totally fine! just as long as u know at the end of the day or at least when you are with the intention to shift, that it isn’t the real you missing or hating anything. you’re already on the path of success, why would you?

and despite the fact that i said you’re the creator of your reality, none of what you’re perceiving is newly created. Awareness is not shocked by anything that’s happening. the Ego Self might be, but pure awareness never is. who you truly are has seen this all before. it exists within you. always has.

and same with your DR. it is familiar to you. beyond memory, beyond feeling. like a hidden room in the house, it belongs to you. you are familiar to all that is within all that is because again… that’s you. this is a homecoming, not an invasion. the only reason you don’t make yourself aware of everything is because you have chosen to experience yourself as a master of limitation. now limit yourself to your DR!

anything that says that’s hard is not you. anyone who’s struggling is not you. YOU have never struggled with shifting to your DR, not once!

• struggling with shifting? not you.

• struggling with focusing? not you.

• feeling doubt? not you.

• desperate to leave the OR? that’s fine, but it’s not you.

• aware of the OR body and surroundings? as soon as you have that intention to shift, that’s not you.

- so if the ego is attacking? who cares? is it your problem when you’re already your dr self in your dr? no. good thing you’re not in your OR or identifying with OR ego anyway 👀. so it’s simply not your problem even if you are aware of it. it’s so much not your problem that you don’t have to judge it or make it go away, it doesn’t matter if this old you complains. if it goes “i’ve been trying so hard for years blablabla” literally pay it no mind bcs it’s not you that’s been struggling for years. and the OR ego will never make it into your DR anyway so that bitch can keep crying, okay?

- and once you totally accept this, there’s a stillness. because there won’t seem to be much left. and that’s perfect. that’s when you do your meditations and your methods (if you do that) to make sure the mind stays relaxed and out of your business enough for you to concentrate on being the observer and making your intention.

- you can then truly tap into that channel which is your DR. bcs you’ll find that knowing that there is no seperation. that you’re already in your DR but you just have to acknowledge it. not through intense conscious effort but by being open and empty enough to receive it. and when you finally notice it, don’t expect a big bang because it’ll arrive so quietly as if it was always here, because it has been.

You guys have every reason to feel completely confident in your journey. You have complete freedom! The real self i keep talking about? whether you call it god, source, infinite intelligence, consciousness, eye of the storm, all that is, higher self, higher mind etc. this is its game. so when you lie down to shift, who is really making that happen for you to observe. source or ego? of course it’s source. so what could possibly make you ‘fail’ if you’ve already been guided to this point? it’s your choice of focus. do you focus on the fact that source already decided you succeeded or the mind that wants to keep casting light on a “struggler”? your choice as the observer reflects what shows up for you to observe next. that’s it, all is true to you 🦋

i know non dual concepts can be intimidating to apply with shifting. but i don’t intend to force you guys to operate on feeling yourself as pure awareness all the time. most of you aren’t in search of enlightenment which is fine - awakening is something you can’t unsee anyway so it’ll always be there for you to notice again when you need that rest from ego/self.

so feel free to temporarily zoom out so you can zoom back in again but this time when you’re diving into all that life ego drama, you’ll be doing it happily in your DR :]

i will forever think shifters and their s/os are the sweetest thing ever. like, you’re traveling to a whole different reality in which you can love them and they love you, something that the vast majority of the world here would deem impossible. of all of the infinite realities you could choose to inhabit, you choose one with them as the one(s) you love and live with, no matter how long it takes you to get there. you post about them here, your life with them, even if they aren’t here to see all the lovely things you say about them, because one day they’ll hear it all directly from you. its soulmates in every sense of the word, and the strongest love i have ever seen.

this applies to family and friends too, for my shifters who don’t script or prioritize romantic relationships, because those relationships are just as important. (i’m one of you, my motivation often stems most from platonic relationships!) whoever it is that powers your shifting journey, whether that be a lover, friend, parent, sibling, etc., i believe the love that shifters have for their people is some of the strongest love i’ll ever have the pleasure of both witnessing and experiencing.

shifting is an act of love not only for others, but for yourself. and you deserve to experience all of it. <3
