The campers are finally done.
It always feels good doing things yourself. It’s very therapeutic working on projects for the people that support the CU. It’s hard work but with each piece that I print or sew I would feel the connection with the people. Anyway, these are the labels that came in the mail that I had to individually cut. They came out dope. Expect some new items sometime in the next few weeks which consist of a shirt, tank tops, and a 5 panel cap.
Got the labels on deck.
CU Division. Taking over is too mediocre. We will just get lost in our own path and bash through it.
Here is the line up of the new collection I have been working on for this summer. Keep your eyes peels for the release date.
"Sleep When Dead" Tee still available and on sale here

Branding without a logo
Sure, starting a brand with a logo is essential and it’s usually the first impression but sometimes it’s not as effective because a bad one can hurt your business. The way the logo is first viewed is the representation of your brand. So make it count. As for me, I started off without a logo. I felt that without one, I can still build a name and that’s exactly what I did. People were attracted to the name “Commonly Used” and the acronym “CMLYUD” drew attention because everyone wondered what it meant. This is how my brand came to life.
It is possible to start a brand without a logo just as long as you know what you want while being true to yourself. Over time, these aspects that make you truly unique are what you build your brand around. Start talking to people about your product, do things differently, and pay attention on how they react and feel about it. Soon, a logo will come along as you build your name.
This is not a logo, but it acted like one which made people want to find out what it was all about.
(2012)
Then as time passed by, I came up with this “C”
(2013)
Til this day, I still don’t have a permanent logo because things change and ideas change.

Don't listen to feedback, but follow your heart.
Feedback, a topic I want to express about. Many people who spend a lot of their time in search of feedback often times forget what their heart desires. I'm not saying that it's bad listening to what others have to say, but when you start to drift off what you started then that's when you lose. You shouldn't let others take over your dreams or goals. It's like having them take over your life. So, if you have a brand, build from it and do what you want. There will be people out there who will love or hate, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you always have to follow what people want. You shouldn't let others illustrate your path.
So, just be yourself and do what you love... People will follow.
supsupp so when do you think you guys are restocking on the baseball jerseys?
Been planning on it. Probably in a few months maybe.
The sleep when dead tee is still available here.
Know your Struggle baseball jerseys 2013. =CMLYUD=
It is I illustrating this path that I journey. Been keeping on the low, but I still haven't forgotten you guys. The people that used to fucks with me and to the new ones, I appreciate all the support because without you guys, CU wouldn't be here. Struggle was key to this brand. Now that it is summer and I got less shit on my plate, I can start cooking some new stuff up. Like in the last post, I'm already on it.
Sleep when dead tee is still available and can be purchased here.
Commonly Used is life.
2014.
Yes it has been long over due since the last drop, Away From Society. I have been handling some personal issues that I've been struggling on. It's also hard to balance all of that plus going to school and work. But I am constantly feeding off whatever inspiration that I can find. So here I am, brewing up some designs and concepts that hopefully soon can come to life.
One of the homie's find at Black and Brown Thrift store in San Jose. This Babe Ruth baseball league jersey is dope even though it's not an authentic official jersey. It has a stitched letter B on the front and stitched numbers on the back. Also includes the Babe Ruth league patch on the sleeve. This may not be much of a jersey but it does spark some inspiration when I work on designs and concepts for Commonly Used.
Thrift store browsing always brings motivation when it comes to creativity.
