Peggy Carter of House Gryffindor

Year: 5th year

Biography:

Peggy was born April 9, 1919, in London. She had an older brother, William, who encouraged her less-than-ladylike behavior, understanding and loving her for her bold spirit. Her entire family is wizarding, and nobody was surprised when she showed an early knack for magic. Her first real accidental usage happened when she was about five, during a party at a family friend’s house. She managed to snag a bottle of brandy from a locked cabinet, nearly getting it home in her little hands before her parents noticed it. They kept a close eye on her after that, noting her natural tendency for exploration and a bit of defiance.

The Sorting Hat took a long moment to sort her, debating for a long moment between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor before putting her in the latter. She flourished there, known for being something of an adventurer and troublemaker (though not maliciously so). She enjoyed exploring the castle, and soon sparked a friendship with Steve Rogers, a boy who fascinated her with his strength and courage. They were close friends, and soon enough, she developed a crush on the skinny boy. He eventually reciprocated the feelings (or at least made them clear) early in Peggy’s third year, and the two spent quite some time together happy and in love.

Steve’s disappearance devastated Peggy—she didn’t know what had happened or where he’d went, only that he was gone for good. After his disappearance, she kept a small brass compass that had been left behind, replacing the picture he’d had of her with a picture of him. She carried on, because she knew it wouldn’t do to linger and be sad, but he was never too far from her mind.

Personality: Peggy is bright and curious, bold and defiant. She is her own woman to a fault, wanting adventure and mystery and intrigue in life. Her humor can be a bit sarcastic at times. Even if she’s looked down upon or treated at lesser, she has a deep sense of self-assurance that can’t be shaken.

Harleen Quinzel of House Slytherin

Biography:

Harley was born into a very poor family. Her mother is a pureblood wizard who was part of an affluent family until she fell in love with a muggle- which ended up with her being disowned because he was a ‘mudblood’. Harley’s mother sees her as evil yet forgives her for every crime she commits. It must be from her father after all.

Her father is a muggle con-man who makes a living swindling women out of their life savings. It’s how he met Harley’s mother and how they ended up destitute. This had a lasting effect on Harley and she spends her free time studying the psychology of love and how that intertwines with crime.

Harley’s younger brother is a lazy slacker who stays home instead of attending school. She tries to help him out but he squanders away anything she gives him.

When her letter from Hogwarts came, she finally saw a way out from the slums and eagerly packed up everything she had and left for London. While waiting for her train, she took some time to visit the zoo where she witnessed two baby hyenas being ignored by its mother. Realizing that Hogwarts would allow pets, she hopped the barrier and hid the two in her bag- affectionately naming them Lou and Bud.

Her first year started out normal until she fell for a student, a Hufflepuff named Guy. They dated and she decided to try an experiment with him to see how far he’d go for her as it mixed with her fascination of psychology. She told him a lie that she had committed numerous crimes –including the murder of one of the school’s professors. He had been surprised by the confession and upon seeing the professor she had claimed to kill still alive, killed the man himself to cover the crime.

When he found out the truth, Guy was devastated and wanted desperately to commit suicide but couldn’t go through with it. In the end he asked Harley to kill him and, because she truly loved him, she did it and disguised it as a suicide. The whole event traumatized her and left her reeling with the idea that the universe just exists in chaos and that she’s only along for the ride. From that point on her sanity started to crack but she hid her emotions behind a mask of constant cheerfulness.

Personality:

Harley is a very social girl who enjoys being around people. Due to such a dysfunctional family, Harley is also the queen of street smart and manipulation. She uses her looks and personality to get what she wants and it rarely fails. Everything in life is a game to her now.

Tony Stark of house Ravenclaw

Year: 6th

Biography: Tony was born to muggle parents Maria and Howard Stark and is the only child of the two. He never had any childhood friends to play with and his parents were always too busy with their lives and hobbies to pay much attention to him. (It’s not to say his parents didn’t love him, they were always just caught up in the face paced life they led.)

The only person Tony considered as a friend was Jarvis, his butler, but even then Jarvis had a job to perform and couldn’t be around Tony as much as the boy wanted. Whenever Tony wasn’t around Jarvis, he found himself in the company of a family friend by the name of Obadiah Stane; someone he considers as an uncle.

Eventually Obadiah suggested to Howard that Tony attend a boarding school instead of being privately tutored in hopes it would end any distractions Tony caused Howard that takes away from work. Obadiah himself wanted products and inventions, not babysitting duty. Unaware of the real reason for such a suggestion, Howard agreed with the belief it would further Tony’s education and ordered Jarvis to start searching for an excellent school for his son.

There was no need for the search as a month later, Tony’s eleventh birthday rolled around and an owl showed up with a letter in its beak. Tony hadn’t heard of magic actually existing and had been skeptical until he arrived at the King’s Cross Station and witnessed it himself. Part of him was excited as the aspect but the logical side of him wanted to know how it all worked which eventually lead to him finding a home in Ravenclaw. He’s still an outcast in many ways because of his love of technology over magic but his charismatic personality is more than enough to override any stigma he could have faced otherwise.

Personality: Tony wears a mask of egotistical arrogance but beneath it is a damaged soul who can’t seem catch a break. Rarely does he let anyone get close to him but once he does, you have a friend for life.
